2020 Elections

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

They time-shifted them out here so they're not both on at the same time. Makes it much easier for me to avoid them both.
The Biden town hall was pretty good.

Saw this comment on the net that sums up Trump's town hall: "Trump debates nobody and loses".

Trump's town hall completely backfired on him.

Let's hope that undecided (how is that possible?) voters agree.

Republican Sen. Joni Ernst Botches 'Most Midwestern Moment' Ever In TV Debate

... Greenfield (D) was asked if she knew the price of corn. She not only answered correctly, but also worked in some observations about what those numbers mean to struggling farmers.

Yet when Ernst was asked the price of soybeans, she first ducked the question, speaking for more than a minute on trade issues. Then, when asked again about the price of soybeans, she fumbled and got it wrong.

After being corrected by the moderators, Ernst accused Greenfield of not answering either (she did). Next, Ernst indicated she was answering about the price of corn, in which case her response was still well off the mark. Finally, she blamed the audio problems that had cropped up several times during the debate

FiveThirtyEight rates the race a tossup, with a slight edge to Greenfield.

Former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg ― a Democrat ― said on Twitter that the exchange was “possibly the most Midwestern moment in the history of televised Senate debates.” ...

Yeah, I feel pretty sure that if I were a US Senator from Iowa I would know what the prices of Iowa agricultural products are as well as how much it's costing my state's farmers because of trump's tariffs. She's obviously just as out of touch and has the same misplaced priorities as the rest of the GOP.

Probably also a bad idea to lie about what her opponent said, lie about her own answer, and then blame the audio.

The American public is made up of idiots with short memories, but I don't think they're going to forget three and a half years of Trump ass-suckage just because of three weeks of pretend "distancing."

She clearly did an excellent job. But I wonder if she could have gotten the same result if instead of her 5 million in 100K square miles of an island, she had LA's 10 million people in 500 square miles.

From your lips . . .

Soon after you posted:
Trump just claimed Biden 'will cancel the Christmas season' in bizarre rally speech

Donald Trump's spree of campaign rallies in the run-up to the US election continued on Sunday when he spoke to supporters in Carson City, Nevada.

The president spoke for nearly 90 minutes to the jam-packed crowd, where the was little to no evidence of social distancing....
Under the Biden lockdown, the lights of Reno and Las Vegas we’re extinguished. Carson City will become a ghost town. If he comes in, Carson City will become a ghost town. And the Christmas season will be cancelled.
...
Look, remember I said we’re going to bring back Christmas? The name. Remember? We brought it back. Remember? I used to go around saying, 'We will bring…” Because I saw these big department stores. They thought it was politically correct. So they’d say, 'Have a great season.' I say, 'No, I don’t want to have a great season. I want to say Merry Christmas. Say Merry Christmas.' Now, they’re all saying Merry Christmas.
:confusion-scratchheadblue: :confusion-scratchheadblue:
The president's bizarre and seemingly baseless accusation against Biden comes just a few weeks after audiotapes revealed that the first lady, Melania Trump, isn't a big fan of Christmas.
:D
...

A classic gripe of the Trump presidency has been water pressure and sure enough, it came up again and went on to talk about people having to flush their toilet 15 times and his 'beautiful hair.

He then mocks Biden for not having big crowds at his rallies, which is what should be happening during the pandemic, and then claims he's had the 'biggest crowds in the history of politics.'
So he goes out. Gets no people at any of the rallies. I go out, we get 35, 40,000, 25,000, 15,000. We go, boom! 15,000. We get the biggest crowds in the history of politics. Look, everything I say, they’ll correct. They’ll say… Who cares? I don’t even care what they say at this point. But we get these massive crowds. He gets nobody.
...
Ummm,
There are no Biden rallies, moron;
I think the biggest crowd in the history of US politics was the anti-PINO Women's March the day after his inauguration. It was certainly the biggest since he started running for office;
Now, he's openly admitting that he doesn't care when he's proved to be lying.

Overall, :crazy: as usual.

Given that:
NC is East Coast and is pretty good at counting ballots;
Even if SC and/or GA flips it will be too close to call for awhile;
FL and PA are usually slow to report results.

We could know that Biden has won the US soon after the NC polls close. If NC goes for PINO :( , we'll still be in the dark. 45SHOLE needs it plus many other battlegrounds to break his way.
