Beer Thread

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Alcohol has dirtied my bathroom more than it's cleaned it.

The possibilities are endless:
Opium den
Texas legislature
Strip show
Trump Cabinet
Holyroller service
Israeli apartheid
Drag show
Carjacking
Terrorism
BP oil platform
KKK rally (see Trump Cabinet)

Watch.

Sometimes, it's not parody:

Cannibal images (on a children’s ride) offend at Greenwich (CT) holiday fair

Guinness, Airbnb offer Dublin brewery bar for 1 night only

Guinness is inviting its first sleepover guest in the Dublin brewery's 258-year history — by transforming its rooftop bar into a penthouse with the city's most panoramic view....
How much to spend 1 night in the gutter outside of the Guinness brewery?

Has anyone tried homebrewing?

Only through friends. Seemed like a lot of work for not that much gain to me, but maybe if I wasn't so drunk. :D

Haha. I dig it. It's like a chemistry project for adults. Once you get the basics down and get a rythym going it's pretty easy/cheap.

Got a honey porter and a hefeweizen I customized brewing.

Also made some Welches grape juice wine that got me pretty tipsy.

Nothing as good as bud lite but I'm working on it.

This man 'embodied the British spirit' by fleeing the London Bridge attack with his pint

Image
(those red light are from behind him, not on his head. I had trouble with the link, but if you find the video you'll see that)
People fleeing #LondonBridge but the bloke on the right isn't spilling a drop. God Bless the Brits!
Brits at their finest. You can threaten our lives. You can terrorise our streets. We will take shelter, but we will never drop our pint.
Why ISIS will never win. Attack just taken place but fella on right refuses to spill his pint.

Nazis, IRA tried. Didn't win. #London
£5 for a pint, no chance I'm wasting it! #LondonBridge
Evacuate? Well, OK. But this beer cost £6 a pint. I'm taking it with me. #LondonBridge
It'd be funny if it wasn't so serious.

What's your favorite whiskey to get whiskey dicked to?

I've discovered that jack Daniels is the bud light of bourbon. Knob Creek has become my bourbon of choice.

Not big on whiskey. Used to enjoy putting down more than my share of rum, though. Favorite drink being a variation of the goombay smash.

Gotta disagree about the jack. I didn't start drinking whiskey again until my 30s. I had a high school/college experience similar to Vrede that turned me off for a while.

Jack is my go to, but I like to try others, especially when I find some local small run. There are more and more of these little private distillers.

Knob Creek is good. Woodford and Bookers are good.

Whiskey is good.

How Trump will make your beer more expensive

I could handle the collusion with Russia to subvert our democracy, the daily lies, being the most corrupt, incompetent, greedy and chaotic admin. ever, the impotent blustering at North Korea, the taking credit for what is still Obama's economy, and the unconcern about slaughtered kids, but THIS is unacceptable!
