2020 Elections

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Does the blatantly disgusting ACB confirmation push suggest that the Repugs have given up on holding the WH and Senate?
Well yeah.

I'm thinking Cawthorn is basically a zombie attached to Trump's ass. If Trump carries the District, Cawthorn will likely be along for the ride. But as a couple of days ago, Davis was up a couple of points on him in the polls.

Even if one believed all of Cawthorn's backstory - much if not most of which is bullshit - it makes no sense to vote for him. The House is, without question, going to stay Dem majority and a first-term member of the opposite party (even if s/he were qualified and capable) is going to be relegated to counting pencils - if that. In effect, the District will not have a Representative. Even if you weren't happy with all his positions, Davis would have more opportunity to get something done for the District.

Are there any Republicans left who aren't drooling moon-barking bat-shit loons?

Dayyum. I'm voting early. There's already a line with a few weeks to go. That's a good sign. People are out voting.

West Virginia. Not in play, but Trump's margin is cut in half from last election.

Your link:
... 2016: Trump +42

... I am not saying that West Virginia is in play.

But I am here to tell you that if Trump is really only +23 in West Virginia right now, then November 3 is going to be an absolute bloodbath for Republicans....
RCP: Trump +14 - 18

"absolute bloodbath for Republicans."

Hate to say it, but a Shrub endorsement for Biden could really put this thing away.

I've been flipping back and forth between the two town halls.

Trump is going off the rails.
Biden is killing it.

Same here. trump is his own worst enemy and enjoys acting as his own executioner.

They time-shifted them out here so they're not both on at the same time. Makes it much easier for me to avoid them both.

I read this. if true it's hilarious

When Trump said he retweeted some things that he didn't write himself. He said he just 'puts it out there for people and they can decide for themselves.' To which the commentator replied, 'but sir, you're the president, not somebody's crazy uncle.'
