Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Yeah, hardly even got wet.....I posted it on the "fired/quit" thread not knowing you'd already put it here. I like how trump mentioned, twice, that Acosta is Hispanic; as if that has anything to do with why he resigned or is in any way relevant to that. What a moron we have in trump. Opps! ...
Alex Acosta is the only son of Cuban refugees. Technically Hispanic, but quite different from all other US Hispanics.

Funny, CNN's Jim Acosta's father is also a refugee from Cuba, but 45SHOLE never lauds him for it.

And as if that weren't bad enough, they're forced to wear mailboxes on their heads.

Not exactly a "war on" but still a stupid thing to say that should have been predictable in the response...

It's a mini exercise trampoline! I thought it was at least going to be a full-size outdoor one.

War FROM Women

Unread post by Vrede too » Thu Jul 25, 2019 8:37 am

Woman removed from American Airlines flight after smashing laptop on partner's head (with video)

To be fair, he probably should not have been watching porn on the laptop with her sitting right beside him. Personally, I just can't understand why a man would drink to excess or look at other women when he already has such a fine specimen of grace and femininity sharing his bed.

Comments:
"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Your captain for this flight is Jerry Springer."
Instead of movies on planes they have added live theatre
Grown woman traveling with a miniature pink backpack decorated with glitter.
A flight to a Hawaiian vacation, LOVE was in the air for this couple!!!!!!!!!!

It's a bad idea to hire a disgraced, recalled, rapist-enabling former judge as a public school junior varsity girls tennis coach - who knew?

I'm old enough to remember when women were objectified and body shamed by images of 20 year olds. Moore at 56, Liz Hurley, Goldie Hawn, Christie Brinkley, etc. are ridiculous!

Oh well, good for them, just bad for normal women.

Now South Carolina  :angry-cussing: :
As SC considers expansive abortion ban, women share why they ended their pregnancies

... Some S.C. Senate Republicans are hoping to fast-track the state’s latest effort to curb access to abortions: a so-called fetal heartbeat ban that would effectively ban abortion around six weeks of pregnancy, before many women know they are pregnant.

On Tuesday, a Senate Medical Affairs subcommittee took four hours of testimony on the bill, which already has passed the state House. The panel did not vote on the proposal, but the goal is to pass it out of committee and get it on the Senate calendar in time for lawmakers’ return to Columbia in January.

But Palmetto State Republicans are not the only ones pushing for deeper restrictions on abortion. The S.C. bill is part of a flurry of new laws sweeping state legislatures. Such bans, passed in other states including Alabama, Georgia and Missouri, so far have been held up in court and blocked or overturned by judges.

Courts have said the bans violate the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision that affirmed a woman’s right to an abortion before a fetus is viable outside the womb, usually about 24 weeks into a pregnancy. But abortion opponents see an opening under conservative judges appointed by President Donald Trump to spark a court challenge that overturns or scales back Roe v. Wade....

The Warren Women could have a protest march against the war on women across the "Wall Women" bridge in Philuffya.

Anti-Abortion Bill Requires Doctors to Perform Procedure That They Say Does Not Exist

Lawmakers in the Ohio State Legislature recently introduced an anti-abortion bill which forces doctors to “re-implant an ectopic pregnancy” into a woman’s uterus or face a felony “abortion murder” charge. However, according to doctors, there is a substantial problem with the bill – no such procedure exists in medical science.

House Bill 413, which was introduced by a bloc of staunch conservatives in the state’s House of Representatives with nearly 20 co-sponsors, says that in order for physicians to avoid criminal charges for murder, they must attempt “to re-implant an ectopic pregnancy into the women’s uterus.”

An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants and begins to grow outside of the uterus, most often on the fallopian tube. Ectopic embryos are not viable, but their growth can cause life-threatening bleeding in pregnant women.

There has never been a documented case in which an ectopic fetus was removed from the fallopian tube and transplanted into a woman’s uterus, experts say.

“I don’t believe I’m typing this again but, that’s impossible,” Dr. David Hackney, an OB/GYN specialist wrote in response to the bill. “We’ll all be going to jail,” he added....

Dr. Daniel Grossman, a clinical OB/GYN and public health researcher on abortion and contraception attempted to rebut the legislature’s apparent misconception regarding ectopic pregnancies, explaining that the technology for the proposed reimplantation simply does not exist.

“Somewhere between 1-3% of pregnancies are ectopic. Based on that, I estimate that at least 2,000 Ohio women have an ectopic pregnancy each year,” Grossman wrote.

“Unfortunately, an ectopic pregnancy cannot be “re-implanted” into the uterus. We just don’t have the technology. So I would suggest removing this from your bill, since it’s pure science fiction.” ...

Tell the Senate: Stand with women. Block Sarah Pitlyk.

Image

Sarah Pitlyk devoted her career to defending extreme abortion bans, slashing access to reproductive health care and protecting powerful misogynists from accountability.

Donald Trump and Republicans are about to reward her with a lifetime appointment to the federal bench. We cannot let that happen.

Not only is Pitlyk arguably the worst of Trump's judicial nominees when it comes to reproductive health and rights, she also has zero trial experience. She is completely unqualified and clearly biased. The Senate must block her judicial confirmation.

Pitlyk is the latest in a long line of Trump judicial nominees that the American Bar Association (ABA) rated "Not-Qualified" to serve as a federal judge. She is also one of four nominees who earned that rating unanimously.2 The ABA's rating should disqualify Pitlyk outright, but Trump and Republicans are so desperate to install anti-woman federal judges that the only thing that matters to them is Pitlyk's extremist bona fides.

Pitlyk spent her entire legal career defending unconstitutional abortion bans and attacking reproductive rights....
