One time this Texan . . .

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

One time this Texan teamed up with a Florida drunk driver and an American Family Sweepstakes winner to demand that people leave Donald alone.

:D That's a pretty good parody of Leave Britney Alone.

He was also a Bernie supporter.

Just in case you thought the POSPOTUS Klan was cornering the corruption market:

George P. Bush got an undisclosed bank loan from a major donor to buy a 'secret mansion' in Austin

"Jason Schoenfeld already served a full prison sentence, but he's back behind bars — not because of what he's done, but because of what the state of Texas says he might do.

Schoenfeld entered a detention center in Littlefield, Texas, more than two years ago. Located in a remote corner of the Texas Panhandle, it was once a prison and currently houses a rehabilitation program for men like Schoenfeld who have committed sex offenses.

Schoenfeld used to attend therapy sessions every two weeks. They've slowed to once every three months. He is not free to seek therapy elsewhere. He is not free to leave.

That would be unconstitutional were it not for a process called civil commitment. States can't imprison people who they believe "constitute a real, continuing, and serious danger to society," but as the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 1997, they can confine them in order to treat them.

Texas says it's treating Schoenfeld and the 200 other men confined in Littlefield. But in almost 30 years, only five men have been released from the program. Four of those were set free only because they needed medical care."

At least they have a place to live. In Florida we just make it so they can't live anywhere permanently, unless you consider living under an interstate highway bridge as permanent.

For-profit prison > no treatment > no advance in the program > no releases > permanent residence > need for expansion = permanent profit

 Not smart by any measure. Interesting that the two featured "sex offenders" are so designated merely for exposure. Not nice depending on the circumstances, but not dangerous for life. I'm glad I did my streaking before we became so fascist.

Man dies at party after allegedly being shot in chest by friend while wearing bulletproof vest

Depending on whose story is correct, we have a Darwin Award winner AND an assist from the friend.

Mr Griffin had also been charged with unlawful possession of body armour...
Bulletproof vests are nevertheless available for purchase. They don't have the bullet-stopping armor plates, but they have the pockets where they can be inserted. I wonder if that's what happened here.

Looks like P bush is following in uncle W's footsteps lying about his military service.

Ted Cruz attacks Texan Democrat for using a nickname even though he does the same thing

Cruz is an idiot, again.
Cruz is a coward when challenged on his hypocrisy, again.
Cruz fanboys adore him regardless, again.

He gets kinda handsy with the bride there at the end. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Anyhow, the Shrubbery are amateurs compared to POSPOTUS.

We'll see, but it's possible Jones will end up impoverished and silenced, maybe even busing tables at that same restaurant.
That would be to good for him.
