Gun Legislation

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

There are elderly folks that live alone who can't afford one of those high dollar motor homes to get away from the sketchy places.

Then those people might be better off if they get some real training in their weapons, improve their perimeter security, and maybe get a dog.

Keep your motor home doors locked.

    Ummm, No.
I saw the vid of the stolen RV a couple of weeks ago. Thefts of motor homes are pretty unusual, and that one wasn't really "stolen" like jump in, hotwire, and go. https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/loca ... 59091.html

And most break-in attempts are while an RV is in storage, not while it's being used. But CAT can rest easy for us. We've got security.

Not to defend the Parkland cop since I don't know enough about it, but I do think he might be a bit of a scapegoat. That was a horrific event that few would actually be well prepared for, and - although they might be getting better now that there's an emphasis on school security - historically you don't send your best officers over to be the school's mall cop - umm, "resource officer."
Somebody here, and I think it was I, suggested there might be some scapegoating here, along with creative charges. Seems others agree:

Interesting, non-political, knowledgeable article on carrying a gun around for "protection."

... Second, hikers and backpackers are notorious gram counters. Are you seriously going to agonize for months over how to save a few grams on your stove, tent, and shoes, and then pack two pounds of loaded pistol on your hip? ...
Always reason enough for me not to carry on trails.

Gun Seller That Bet Big on Hillary Clinton Getting Elected Goes Bankrupt

Anyone can make a bad business gamble. The important takeaway here is that ammosexuals can be so reliably frightened into a panicked, pants-wetting frenzy of fetish toy purchasing whenever a Dem is elected.
