Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

OK, so why can't we come up with something the right-wingers would fall for? They're susceptible to disinformation. Let's give them some. Sure, I'd prefer a well-articulated platform that addresses significant issues, but I'm not sure that approach is viable anymore. In an electorate that can produce Trump, whether or not he got an actual majority, I think it's going to take flash and shiny objects. Hopefully some substance behind it, but I don't think the substance will win by itself.
They don't care. What could be worse than: '45SHOLE is a Putin stooge and campaign finance felon that lusts after his daughter' or 'The GOP is the Nazi/KKK party'? We didn't even have to make those up.

Off the top of my head, though, and sticking with this one issue as an example - instead of exclusively playing defense, how about a campaign built around:

Immigrants Feed America
Immigrants Care for American Grannies
Immigrants Garden America
Immigrants Build America

NGOs do this, but not the cautious Dems.

Nevermind if it's nowhere close to reality....
Do you see yourself ever chanting a lefty equivalent of, "Send her back!"?

Immigrants coming through the U.S. from other countries to Canada.
As Derek Thompson put it in his article analyzing how Canada has escaped the “liberal doom loop,” Canada’s floor is America’s ceiling.
Someone who tries to cross at the official Canadian border post at Lacolle, Quebec, without the necessary documents and permissions, even someone claiming refugee status, will be returned to the U.S. - Tony Keller, editorial page editor Toronto, Canada

When it's not convenient, just send them back to the U.S.

The lifelong cowardly, bigoted, Chickenhawk in Chief is lying, again:
Trump says he wasn't happy with his crowd chanting, 'Send her back!'

... “I was not happy with it. I disagree with it,” Trump told reporters Thursday when asked about the phrase his crowd had employed....

Trump told reporters that he attempted to stop the chant in its tracks at the rally. "I think I did —I started speaking very quickly." Video of the event shows otherwise, however....
Very few Repugs have objected.

On behalf of my NC - I apologize, America. :(

Most Americans think Trump's tweets are racist and un-American, poll shows

... It comes after a separate poll found the US president’s approval rating rose among Republicans after the US president told the congresswomen to “go back” to where they came from.

... 68 per cent, said they found the president’s tweets “offensive”.

Of those surveyed, 65 cent said they found Mr Trump’s remarks “racist”. However, this rose to 85 per cent among Democrats, compared to 45 per cent of Republicans.

Over half, 59 per cent, agreed that telling congresswoman to “go back” to the countries they came from is “un-American”. This rose to 88 per cent among Democrats and dropped to 25 per cent among Republicans....

A separate Reuters/Ipsos poll found Mr Trump’s net approval rating with Republican voters climbed 5 per cent points to 72 per cent following his racist tirade, compared with the equivalent poll from last week.

But his net approval dropped by 2 points among Democrats in the poll.

Mr Trump’s overall approval remained unchanged over the past week. According to the poll, 41 per cent of the American public said they approved of his performance in office, while 55 per cent disapproved.
In other words, POSPOTUS and most Repugs are racist and un-American.

Down there isn't "your" NC - that's the part of NC that kept Helms in office long after a majority of the state cringed at his name.

True, thanks, different world out east. But, purple Greenville and Pitt County are about 1/3 black and they vote more Dem than old Caucasian red Henderson County does.

"We" would have also chanted, though maybe not as loudly due to COPD.

Yeah, but those weren't the ones who showed up for the rally.

Tell Deloitte: Standing up for refugees means ending contracts with ICE and CBP.

The petition to Deloitte reads:

"ICE and CBP are carrying out horrific human rights abuses against immigrants and refugees. End all ICE and CBP contracts now."

Greenville, NC Rally [Crowd Photos]

Find the nonwhite attendees, folks. Good luck.

Trump made 20 false claims at his North Carolina rally

Only 20? He's slipping.

""We haven't had any empty seat in any event," Trump says, predicting he could have sold out this arena several times over." No shit - the arena isn't the only thing he's "sold out."

So exactly who does Trump think he's fooling with this disavowal of the chant? Given how all his events are orchestrated - all the right signs in the visible places, no dissenters, fullish house even if they have to truck them in, yada - is there anybody in the world that believes his staff didn't start-encourage that chant? And why disavow it? His supporters love that he thinks that way. Nobody else believes him anyway. I guess just because the gullible news media will print/say "he disavowed it..." Idiots.

Then, his tone was more measured the next day. Trumpettes often say that they love that he "speaks his mind," but they neglect to mention that he regularly flip-flops, sometime daily like with this controversy.

Trump has not built single mile of new border wall since taking office

Plus, more are crossing the border than ever before. POSPOTUS is a complete failure on his signature issue.

I'm happy and not surprised that he's got no additional walls up. I do wish they wouldn't print stuff like that, though. It's just waving the red cape.

"Brian Kolfage Jr., the wall organization’s president, asserted in an email “there’s no criminal investigation.” Kolfage had no further comment after being advised that Florida officials had put in writing that a criminal investigation is underway and confirmed it in an interview."

"The event featured a speech by Donald Trump Jr., the president’s oldest son.

Former White House senior adviser Steve Bannon attended the event, as did former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas), and the president of Citizens United David Bossie."
