South Alabama almost beat us. Comfortable 14 point lead with about 8 minutes left and they went on a 20 to 5 run to take the lead with 1 minute left. We won with 2 seconds left 70 to 69.
Gotta love college basketball - Cinderellas early through to sometimes in the Elite Eight.

That's won't help your climb from #22 much, though #18 Saint Mary's did lose to Winthrop.

Way to early for rankings to have much meaning. #1 didn't mean much to Evansville.

And Auburn, who knows at this point what we have. Last years team is mostly in the NBA. I heard that our little Jared Harper scored 34 Sunday.

Samir's 6/8 3 pointers helped

Giant killer week.
Stephen F. Austin stuns No. 1 Duke, 85-83 in OT

With a stunning breakaway layup at the overtime buzzer, Stephen F. Austin did what no team outside the ACC had done in nearly 20 years -- knock off Duke at home.

The Lumberjacks and their high-pressure, turnover-forcing defense took over Cameron Indoor Stadium, and Duke lost its grip on everything: The ball, the game, its prized home-court winning streak -- and, of course, the No. 1 ranking.

Stephen F. Austin beat Duke 85-83 on Tuesday night, with Nathan Bain's layup at the overtime buzzer bringing a jarring end to the Blue Devils' 150-game home winning streak against nonconference opponents.

The Lumberjacks became the first non-Atlantic Coast Conference team to beat Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium since St. John's in February 2000, and became the second unranked team to upset a No. 1-ranked school on its home floor in two weeks after Evansville went into Rupp Arena and stunned Kentucky 67-64....

That makes three #1s that have gone down so far this season.

Can Stephen F Austin (wherever that is) get a ranking based on its strength of schedule? ;) Or does that only go one way?

Not sure about ranking, but winning the Southland probably counts for more. It's made MM 5 times since 2009, was seeded #12 twice, and in different years beat #3 and #5 seeds before losing.

It plays @Bama on 12/6, but a win there won't do much for its rank.

Another big upset:

(Unranked) Purdue routs No. 5 Virginia

69-40, ouch.

That was close. Behind the entire game, by as much as 14 with 10 minutes left. Took 1st lead with less than 1 minute left, then tied and we won in OT.

 You didn't mention that it was vs. Furman @Auburn. Not all 8-0 records are equal :P .

No. 6 Ohio State hands (former) No. 7 UNC worst home loss in 17 years

74-49, ouch.

Hey 1 FAT CAN, guess who is 9-0 and ranked #3 while Clemson is 5-3 and unranked. That's right, Maryland   .

Furman is a damn site better than the USA team that I did credit for an earlier close call.

Oh, and I know about 8-0 records. That's why you haven't seen any won/loss bragging from me and won't until we are tested a few times. Right now an undefeated schedule means about as much as being undefeated in ACC football.

5-3, really? I might have to start watching.
