Please don't take Joey out, he's throwing a no hitter - 16 balls and 2 strikes
Damn, they took him out

Auburn up 7 to 5
Top of 9th
Auburn at bat with 1 out and bases loaded

What could go wrong
Auburn up 1 to 0
Top of 1st
Auburn at bat with 0 outs and bases loaded

What could go wrong?

1st pitch = HR, 2nd batter = basehit, 3rd batter = RBI error. Will NC use 4 pitchers in the 1st?

Go Auburn or UNC > MISSST.

4th batter = RBI basehit, 10-0.

5th batter = RBI basehit, 11-0. Will NC use 5 pitchers in the 1st? I'm done with commentary.

Damn, shouldn't have tried to stretch it to a triple or we would still be at bat.

Congratulations, billy.p -
I didn't watch the games, but I'm guessing the 'Heels brought the football team to play instead of the regular baseball team? Or at least the football team's ferocity?

Coulda been fatal. :D 14-7 is better than 13-0.

Go:

Louisville > Vanderbilt.

Michigan > Texas Tech.

Auburn > MISSST.

Arkansas (likely, up 9-1 in the 5th) or Mississippi > Florida State.
Big 10 - 1
ACC - 2
Big 12 - 1
SEC - 4
Grrrr.

Go Michigan to win it all.
Go Louisville 2nd choice.

It could have been, the pitchers for sure didn't seem real comfortable with a baseball and 14 to 7 does sound like a football score.

What a first. The rest of the game N.C. looked good.

I don't claim to know stats but it may be that baseball is more of a warm weather sport.
All 5 times are southern teams.

Apparently mostly true for champions, too:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/College_W ... ns_by_year
Michigan won it all in 1953 & 1962.
Auburn & Louisville (not northern) have never won.
Otoh, Oregon State 2006-07 & 2018
All 5 times are southern teams.

...By sending four teams, these conferences have a 50-percent chance of winning the title, at least by the raw numbers (not counting matchups, seeding, etc.). Yet LSU's title in 1997 is the only instance one of those four-team CWS conferences ended up winning it all. The Tigers beat SEC rival Alabama in the Final, too....

The SEC sucks at Women's basketball after Pat Summitt retired, and southerners are only so-so.
The SEC sucks at Men's soccer, and southerners are only so-so.
The SEC sucks at Women's soccer, but so did everyone besides UNC for a long time.

The combined 473 fans of all of these sports just wanted you to know that.

Speaking of things that suck. We led the entire game. Up 4 to 1 at the bottom of the 9th and they scored 4.

At least they didn't tie and go a bunch more innings, they just scored 4 in the 9th.
