Wow, wow, wow, new favorite for SB Champ?

L. Jackson: 15/20, 75%, 169 Yds, 5 TDs, 0 Int, 8 Carries, 95 Yds, 11.9 Avg

I like a season where he and Russell Wilson are the leading MVP candidates.

No preference:

Chicago @Detroit 12:30 PM ET, Vegas: Chicago -5.5.
Edit: Exciting first 4 minutes, 7-7.

Go:

Buffalo @Dallas 4:30 PM, Vegas: Dallas -6.5 :confusion-scratchheadblue: Buffalo is 8-3 and "The Cowboys (6-5) still haven’t beaten a winning team ..." I would bet on the Bills in a heartbeat.

New Orleans @Atlanta 8:20 PM, Vegas: New Orleans -7.

Looks like Cowboys still haven't beaten a team with a winning record - and at 9-3, Buffalo supposedly has four players on the team that weren't born the last time they had a winning record, but that doesn't appear to be right. Maybe I misunderstood what they said. Anyway, it's the best year the Bills have had in a loooooong time, and their QB just totally shredded the 'Boys.

Yippee!

The 2017 Bills went 9-7 and lost the Wild Card Playoffs (at Jaguars) 10-3.
The last time they had more than 9 wins was 1999.
The last time before 2017 that they made the Playoffs was also 1999, when they lost the Wild Card Playoffs (at Titans) 22-16.
The last time they won in the Playoffs was the Wild Card Playoffs (Dolphins) 37-22 in 1995.
Maybe it was a reference to the 1999 or 1995 team.
The last time they won the AFC was in 1993, their 4th lost Super Bowl in 4 years.

(I'm sure this was posted before Buffalo beat Dallas on Thursday)
Odds to win 2019-20 Super Bowl LIV (2/2/20)

Baltimore Ravens 3/1
New England Patriots 7/2
New Orleans Saints 4/1
San Francisco 49ers 7/1
Kansas City Chiefs 10/1
Minnesota Vikings 12/1
Seattle Seahawks 12/1
Green Bay Packers 18/1
Dallas Cowboys 25/1
Houston Texans 40/1
Oakland Raiders 60/1
Buffalo Bills 80/1
Philadelphia Eagles 80/1
Cleveland Browns 100/1
Indianapolis Colts 100/1
Los Angeles Rams 100/1
Pittsburgh Steelers 100/1
Tennessee Titans 100/1
Chicago Bears 200/1
Carolina Panthers 500/1
Los Angeles Chargers 500/1
Jacksonville Jaguars 500/1
New York Jets 1000/1
Denver Broncos 10000/1
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10000/1
Go Broncos & Bucs! I would lay $1 on each.
Looks like Washington, Miami and Cincy (and others?) have been mathematically eliminated.

San Francisco @Baltimore early on Sun and Minnesota @Seattle on Mon night should be great games. I'll root for Baltimore and Seattle, but I like all 4 teams.

Go:

Oakland @Kansas City, take the AFC West Division lead.
@Carolina > Washington, of course.
Philadelphia @Miami, tie the Cowboys 6-6 record.
@Houston > New England.

I like the Jets more than the Bengals, but Cincy has to win sometime.

Out of these games that I care about, Philadelphia @Miami and Jets-Bengals are indeed the ones I care least about watching.

For some reason, our early game is Steelers-Browns. Then the two LA teams for the second games. Other than the Monday nighters, it looks like it will be a long time between Seahawks games.

That's a pretty rotten selection this year, though Steelers-Browns has some interesting backstory and both are vying for the 2nd AFC Wildcard slot.

Steelers players show up in “Free Pouncey” T-shirts

Though I've lived both places I never noticed that the East gets two early and one late game on the same day that the West gets one early and two late games. Here today it's:

San Francisco @Baltimore early on Sun
@Carolina > Washington early on Sun
Oakland @Kansas City later on Sun

It's not always the same schedule. Local teams have to be covered. But the early game here is 10:00 a.m. and the "late" game is 1:00. And "Sunday Night Football" is 5:30. So maybe they might try to get as many west coast teams scheduled to play the "second" game as they can.

Sometimes, local team home games get blacked out, but both of the mediocre-this-year LA teams are playing away games against lousy opponents - AZ & Denver.

Could be, idk. When I lived there I thought it could be either 2 early/1 late or 1 early/2 late, but it's been awhile. I think it goes both ways here, but now I'm not sure.

Just checked, on 12/8 it does flip here to 1 early/2 late.

Good game. Ravens win on a walkoff 49 yard FG!

Go:

Oakland @Kansas City, take the AFC West Division lead. Not looking good :( .
@Carolina > Washington, of course. Crap.
Philadelphia @Miami, tie the Cowboys 6-6 record. Dammit, the Cowboys are going to stink their way into the Playoffs. I don't hate Miami, though.

I like the Jets more than the Bengals, but Cincy has to win sometime. Yes, 22-6!

Wow  . Brady and the Pats made a nice run at a comeback.

With just 4 games left:
Ravens now have the #1 AFC seed.
The Bills are just a game behind the Pats, the Bills! They play each other 12/21.
Steelers are in the #2 Wildcard slot.

Then:
Saints have clinched the NFC South.
Seahawks are just 1/2 game behind 49ers, play tomorrow night.
Whether Seahawks or Vikings win, they along with the 49ers and Packers will stay in Playoff position.

Houston Tigers Win
Deshaun Watson reacts to beating Tom Brady

The Houston Texans defeated the New England Patriots 28-22 on Sunday night.

Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson finally got a win against one of his idols growing up as he played impressively completing 18-for-25 with 234 passing yards and four touchdowns (3 passing, 1 receiving).

“You know, that’s my role model, a guy that’s been doing it forever,” Watson said. “[He’s been playing for] over 20 years, I’m only alive for 20 years, so it’s pretty awesome to finally get one and to just see the love and respect we have for each other and it was big. So, it was awesome.”

Don't know that he deserved it, especially three quarters through a season. Kind of tacky.

The Panthers are going to be looking like a different team next year. Probably no Cam and no Greg Olsen.
Rebuilding time?

Shame to waste McCaffery.
