CV-19 postponed at least until Sun :( . At 4-6 Detroit is the best team playing today.

Hey, we've got the team formerly known as 'Skins vs. Cowboys. Just like traditional old times except you can cheer for all fumbles, sacks, dropped passes, penalties, and interceptions on both sides.

:D  It will help make up for the Clemson at Florida State game that I missed on Sat.

It was postponed, but has now been cancelled. :( ;)

Also on Thurs, go:
Lions > Hou
Exciting, sloppy game so far, but the wrong team is winning. 14-23 at the half.

If the playoffs started today, in descending order:

AFC North Pittsburgh (10-0! 1st round bye)
AFC West Kansas City
AFC East Buffalo
AFC South Indianapolis
Wildcards: Tennessee, Cleveland!, Las Vegas Traitors
Close: Baltimore, Miami

NFC South New Orleans (8-2, 1st round bye)
NFC West LA Rams
NFC North Green Bay
NFC East Philadelphia (3-6-1)
Wildcards: Seattle, Tampa Bay, Arizona
Close: Chicago

There are several teams I’ll root for, but a Pittsburgh-New Orleans SB won’t ruin my February, especially if Brees is back. The combined ages of he and Big Ben will be 80!

Hah! I just found that Brees was the NFL Comeback Player of the Year . . . in 2004! His “Comeback” has been longer than most NFL careers.

Oh well.

Announcers, paraphrased:

CBS:
5 of the 7 Houston losses have been to teams that are currently in playoff position. (Me: None of their 4 wins have been vs a playoff team)
Since Barry Sanders retired in 1998 the Lions have had the worst rushing team in the NFL.

Fox:
It's been a difficult year, but we can all come together and laugh at the NFC East.

Alex Smith moves around really good for a guy with a totally re-manufactured leg and a two-year layoff.

The TFKA 'Skins looked pretty good, until you realize the Cowboy defense is awful. And one of those teams could make the playoffs.

At the moment 4-7 DC leads the division :wtf: , and that's likely to remain the case after Monday night's avian smackdown.
Seattle Seahawks 7-3 @ Philadelphia Eagles 3-6-1
Odds: SEA-5

But of course. It's 2020 after all.

Maybe Elway will suit up.

Baltimore Ravens add six more to reserve/COVID-19 list; total up to 18 this week

The Baltimore Ravens placed six players on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Saturday, causing some to wonder whether they can field a competitive team in Tuesday's game against the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers.

In the midst of one of the biggest outbreak in sports, the Ravens have now put 18 players on the reserve/COVID-19 list this week, including reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson. Baltimore has had seven straight days with at least one positive test, including at least one Saturday, according to a source.

The Ravens have 20 players total on the reserve/COVID-19 list as quarterback Trace McSorley and injured cornerback Iman Marshall had been on the list since before this week.

The coronavirus has decimated Baltimore's roster to the point where the Ravens are currently left with two quarterbacks, six offensive linemen and three defensive linemen on their current active and practice squad rosters. Baltimore currently has 52 available players, 38 on its 53-man roster and 14 on the practice squad....

Decent LV Traitors get crushed by lousy Falcons. Weird.
Otoh, the LA Traitors got beat by the Bills, as expected.
Browns 8-3. :wtf:
Pats edged the Cards despite Cam stinking the place up. QBR 23.6!
Now, the 4-7 Giants are leading the NFC East, pending Philly's game vs Seattle tomorrow night.

That was a wild end to the Panthers-Vikings game. The Scoring Summary and even the Play-by-Play don't do it justice. YouTube it?

Go:
49ers
Buccaneers. Opps, so far. Mahomes 11-14, 229 YDS, 2 TD. Tyreek Hill 7 REC, 203 YDS, 2 TD - In the 1st quarter! 17-0.
Saints
Bears tonight, a must win division game.
Seahawks tomorrow.

Ravens Tuesday, a reprieve maybe.

Ravens generate more positive tests on Sunday

No reprieve for the Broncos.
NFL refused Broncos’ request to delay game until Monday

... The attempt included a forceful effort by team president Joe Ellis, G.M. John Elway, and coach Vic Fangio to persuade the league to grant them a one-day delay. Although some have suggested that the team’s ongoing lack of an owner hurt the effort, Elway has juice; he’s on the league’s Competition Committee.

Even if Denver were run by an owner with clout, the game wasn’t moving. The league has made it clear that games won’t be delayed for competitive reasons, and that only an ongoing, uncontained outbreak (like in Baltimore) will buy time....
... The Broncos are owned by the Pat Bowlen trust ...
I didn't know.

1st half:

Patrick Mahomes 25/33 359 yds! 2 TDs 0 INTs 130.7 QBR!
On pace for 700 yds? The record is Norm Van Brocklin in 1951, 561 yds.

Brady is having a normal good game for a QB 10/16 117 yds 1 TD 0 INTs 105.5 QBR

Hence 17-7.

Kendall Hinton

High school career

Hinton played quarterback at Southern Durham High School in Durham, North Carolina. As a high school junior, Hinton threw for 3,972 yards and 39 touchdowns en route to a 3–AA championship title.
Wake Forest backup QB, then slot receiver full-time.
Professional career

Hinton signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent on April 26, 2020. He was waived on September 5, 2020. He was re-signed to the practice squad on November 4.

All four Broncos quarterbacks were ruled ineligible to play in the November 29, 2020, game against the New Orleans Saints the day before the game, due to COVID-19 pandemic protocols, and Hinton was elevated to the active roster as an emergency quarterback option for the team.
Lousy game so far, QBR 0.0.

3-31. No surprise, it ain't a movie. Good on him for trying, though.

Good game. Brady made it tight, of course. 24-27, > 800 combined passing yards!
49ers, 42-yard walkoff field goal, 23-20!

Nice Bear Montgomery run just now, > 50 yds. Only resulted in a FG, though, after 2 near-TD passes.

Not sure which is more painful, watching Da Bears or listening to Tony Dungy.

He needs to stay in the studio.

Obama book may be calling my name.

Yeah, I know what it means. But it still struck me as funnypeculiar:
As we mentioned before, the Seahawks are playing in prime time for the fifth time this year. They're 2-2 against the spread in those previous four games, though they're a stellar 22-11-3 ATS under the lights since drafting Russell Wilson in 2012.
So a bunch of guys decide what their best guess is of a winner and score difference. Then suddenly its the team who has the responsibility to compete with "the spread"? How about, "we've guessed the spread only half the time when the Seahawks played in prime time..."

Like a bunch of stock analysts who crunch numbers and shake their magic 8-ball and make guesses, later proclaiming "the company did not meet expectations."

The winner of tonight's game between the 7-3 Seahawks and 3-6-1 Eagles will be its division leader. :confusion-scratchheadblue:

If the Seahawks lose, I think they're behind the 7-4 Rams on tiebreakers.

I'm glad that the Eagles weren't totally shamed.

Announcers: 2 teams have won their division with a losing record, 2010 Seahawks and 2014 Panthers. Each won a playoff game.

If you're the best NFC wildcard team, should you be happy that you'll get the NFC East "champ" or fearful that you'll lose to the NFC East "champ"?
