Remember the one last year that was caught in a beer cup - and then the guy chugged the rest of the beer.

Kind of like the idea of beer deliveries with an app.

If only they could deliver portable urinals to complete the cycle.

I don't know exactly how the app works, but you get your tickets on it, so I guess it's keyed to your seat. That would be how the beer guy knows where you are. And probably the app holds your card and charges you for what you eat and drink. Maybe gives itself a tip, too. But I dunno, there's something community-building in eating a hot dog that's been passed down the row by 10 people you don't know.

I think that part will still be happening unless they are delivered by drone.

You have to order food on the app and then they text you to pick up when it's ready. No to-the-seat food delivery.

I'm not sure which is more entertaining, a woman who tries to catch a ball in her beer, succeeds and chugs or a man who tries to catch a ball and misses it into his nachos. I guess I'm with GoCubsGo unless video turns up of the man eating the nachos off of his shirt and lap.

So the Albuquerque 3A minor league team is the "Isotopes." Why, one might ask? Because of nearby nuclear facilities? Ummm, no. Because "The Simpsons" Springfield minor league team was Isotopes and they threatened to move the team to Albuquerque but Homer saved it. Coincidental to that show, shortly after the new Albuquerque team took votes from the fans and "Isotopes" won - bigly. And the team sells more merch than most any other minor league team.

"Springfield" is one of the most common names in the US. Legend has it that Groening picked Springfield for the Simpsons' home town because there were more Springfield towns in the US than any other name. It's a far stretched argument that a widely used name could be detrimental to students just because a TV show also used it. "Hogwarts", on the other hand, is associated only with Harry Potter and obviously would turn all the students into practitioners of witchcraft and send them straight to hell on their quidditch brooms.

Javy Baez makes baseball fun.

FWIW, there were two outs making this that much more of a bonehead play.

:?: I thought that the first baseman only has to tag the base, not the runner. Who won and what was the score?

Edit: Never mind, the commenters are making the same point about tagging the base. Still interested in the final score, though.
Alternative Title: Pirates are not good at baseball
All he had to do was go back 2 steps. Every little leaguer knows this.
Not every little leaguer!

If Baez somehow scored from 2nd it was a game winning coup.

Saw that, but IF he also made a run out of it, the 2 runs were the difference in the game.

I'm no fan of the Yankees, but jeez.

Bring on the electronic strike zone.

 That should have loaded the bases for the NYY. Instead, BOS 6-5 in 10, which I suppose could have happened anyhow.
