Ontario's New License Plates Have A Problem: You Can't Read Them

Off the wall fun - this area may tread into work unsafe territory, be advised.

Uhhhh, I don't know, man. In that photo of the back of the vehicle you can plainly see the "a place to grow" logo at the bottom and the "Ontario" at the top but nothing else. I suspect the other part of the plate has had some sort of paint or something put on. It stands to reason that if you can clearly see the bottom logo in smaller print, you should be able to see the id info that's in larger print.
By the way, in CA a license plate used to stay with the car it was on for the life of that car; is it still like that? I'd hate to buy a car and be forced to live with a "ILUVNUNES" plate; not to mention the vandalism it might generate.

Problem with the new Ontario plates is more that the electronic readers can't read them, which is why most plates (and formerly Ontario's) were dark on white - not white on dark. The other problem is that there is a trumpian issue involved - having to do with Doug Ford's connection with the contractor making the new plates.

Or is it that Canada's socialized public education system has resulted in robots not being able to read at all?
:D Inferior Canadian healthcare means that Canadians' vision is poorer than with Americans.

At least it's more readable than the new Ontario plates.

That's because they're not in French.
What do French numerals look like?
