Well, just learned that my county has also banned gatherings of more than 1,000 people until the end of March, at least.

So the Oakland Athletics are cancelling attendance at their March games in the interim. AFAIK. I think it's still pre-season, anyway. Season opener is towards end of March.

San Diego County has banned gatherings of more than 250, and cancelled a bunch of stuff. SDSU going to video classes. Disney parks closing for a while.

I'm flying into San Jose (where there seems to be a lot of cases) a few days after you hit up Hawaii. Can we be quarantine buddies?

Ignorant guess: They can since it doesn't apply just to churches, and not doing so would be 'establishment of religion'.

Another guess: Churches will want to protect their parishioners and/or not get the negative PR from resisting. They can always livestream services.
