See, this is a prime example of my main issue with the religious sorts. If one believes that God is all-powerful, created the world and all that, and still has individual political preferences, why in the world would anybody think they had a choice? One answer: because they believe they are equal to the god-creature. Every time they say "God gives us free will" is just totally irrational. An all-powerful being couldn't "give free will" because whatever is "chosen" would still by definition be the will of the all-powerful being.

Death does not equal disorder. More often it's a transition into a different ordered state: compost > flowers > hummingbirds > compost.

I'm unaware of any scientific consensus on "prior to the Big Bang". So far, it seems the best we've got is a few milliseconds after the Big Bang.
