It's a weird NFL season.
If you listen to a Brit, all NFL seasons are weird.

Mostly true, but the NFL does manage to sell out Wembley a couple of times a year.

Why would anyone want to "listen to a Brit" on the topic? They don't care about our opinions of cricket.

It really annoyed you that GoCubsGo was the last poster to this topic, didn't it?

TV here

Early afternoon:

New Orleans Saints (5-3) at Tennessee Titans (7-2, favored by 3). Go Saints!

Late afternoon:
Carolina Panthers (4-5) at Arizona Cardinals (8-1, favored by 10).
Wilson Seahawks (3-5) at Rodgers Packers (7-2, favored by just 3.5 :confusion-scratchheadblue: ). Go Seattle!

Night:
Kansas City (5-4, favored by 2.5) at Las Vegas Raiders (5-3). Go Raiders!

Go:
Atlanta 4-4 > @Dallas 6-2 (favored by 8).
Detroit 0-8 > @Pittsburgh 5-3 (favored by 6.5). Someday . . .
Minnesota 3-5 > LA Traitors 5-3 (favored by 3).

 I'm only rooting for underdogs.

We get Falcons-Dallas, Browns-Pats, 'Hawks-Covidiots.
I think we'll go hiking and record the 'Hawks game for late afternoon.

Darn, Saints came 2 missed EPs or a 2pt attempt away from forcing OT at the end.

Go:
Atlanta 4-4 > @Dallas 6-2 (favored by 8).
 Atlanta got routed. Other routs:
New England > Cleveland
Buffalo > NYJ

Detroit 0-8 > @Pittsburgh 5-3 (favored by 6.5). Someday . . .
Detroit led into the 4th, OT. Then, Detroit misses a game winning 48-yard field goal. Oh no, time expired, 0-8-1.

Also:
WFT > Brady
Cam came in early to run for a TD  , then got flagged for celebrating  . He has the most TD runs by a QB in NFL history. I wonder if Lamar Jackson will catch him. Then, Cam comes back for a 2 yd TD throw - 2 plays, 2 TDs, 1 acceptable penalty, Carolina 14, AZ 0. Nice return. Biggest AZ deficit all season.

 I'm only rooting for underdogs.

... Lambeau fans are perfectly capable of boos - let's home they rain down on Rodgers the next time or whenever he takes the field. Asshole.
Good post. Not that I'm being harsher on Lambeau fans than I would on any other fans, but they'll probably cheer his return....

Yeah, Packer fans will probably still cheer Rodgers if they win this weekend anyway, and if Rodgers is only out the one week. But if the Packers lose two or more over this, they might not be any more forgiving than they were when Favre went to the Vikings.
Otoh, they'll be glad to see him return if the backup caused the losses. I wouldn't count on football fans to hold a grudge over public health.
The Packers lost to Kansas City 7-13.

Aaron Rodgers greeted by Packers fans with cheers, applause upon return from COVID-19

The New England Belichick's are on the rise and the Tampa Bay Brady's are struggling.

The debate lives on.

That game or the whole day?

Los Angeles Rams: Cooper Kupp AND Odell Beckham Jr? There ought to be a law.

 Might take a little while to make a difference.

393 days since SF's last home win. The crowd just booed an obvious pass interference call against the SF defense. I think it was more because they're having so much fun than actual outrage.

There's much joy in Garoppolo Town tonight. Yay!

31-10, SF-LA.

Perhaps the start of something good?

Plus any time an SF team beats an LA team is a good day. Did I mention the North-South rivalry there? Remind me.

PS-I still have a football signed by John Brodie from back around 1965.

Rams stumble again vs. 49ers: 'A humbling night'
SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Coach Sean McVay stood at a podium in the bowels of Levi's Stadium, clearly frustrated after the Los Angeles Rams fell for a fifth consecutive time to the San Francisco 49ers, plunging themselves into a two-game losing streak.

"I choose to believe these last couple of weeks are not who we are," McVay said. "I refuse to believe that, even though you're only as good as your last game."

Over the offseason, the Rams traded for quarterback Matthew Stafford in an undeniable effort to make a Super Bowl LVI run. More recently over the past two weeks, they doubled down on building a title contender when they completed a blockbuster trade for All-Pro outside linebacker Von Miller, then signed three-time Pro Bowl receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

However, after a 31-10 loss to the 49ers on Monday Night Football, the Rams find themselves amid their first two-game losing streak of the season and appear to be a team in regression rather than one gearing up for a deep playoff run.

Never heard of the "Manning Cast". Is that hosted by Peyton Manning?

(I don't have cable).
