Bears!
I know it was pouring rain and all, but even so, that's the worst backup of water I've ever seen on a field. And it must have been just miserable for the players to spend the entire game sopping wet. Non-drunk fans probably weren't all that happy either. But a win is a win.

Soldier Field is ancient and it's rained before. Did something change? Anyhow, CONGRATS! Rain is your secret weapon.

New Orleans 27, Atlanta 26. I watched this.
Atlanta led by 16 in the 4th, offense flubs, defense collapses, New Orleans 51-yard field goal at 0:23, Atlanta 63-yard walk-off field goal attempt blocked :crazy: . Good to see former Duck Marcus Mariota starting again, too bad it's for Atlanta. :problem:

Pittsburgh 23, Cincinnati 20. :thumbup:
* 4th 0:04 Cincinnati missed game-winning PAT.
* OT 3:37 Cincinnati missed a game-winning 29-yard field goal.
* OT 2:27 Pittsburgh missed a game-winning 55-yard field goal.
* OT 0:05 Pittsburgh made a 53-yard field goal.
:crazy:

Philadelphia 38, Detroit 35.
Valiant Detroit 4th quarter comeback attempt, though.

Cleveland 26, Carolina 24. :thumbdown: I watched this.
Valiant Carolina 4th quarter comeback attempt, 17-6 points.
4th 0:13 Cleveland kicked a 58-yard field goal.
:crazy:

Indianapolis 20, Houston 20 OT.
Indianapolis 17-0 in the 4th.
OT 6:30 Indianapolis missed a 45-yard field goal.
:crazy:

Baltimore 24, NY Jets 9.
Lamar Jackson: 17/30, 213 Yds, 3 TD, 1 Int, 98.3 QBRat
:happy-cheerleaderkid:

Rare 4 afternoon games day here, I'm watching:
Kansas City @ Arizona
Green Bay @ Minnesota
, go Vikings! Goal line stand! 0-17, :thumbup:

New York Giants @ Tennessee
Go Giants, but 0-13 :problem:

Las Vegas Traitors @ Los Angeles Traitors.
Go Las Vegas, but 3-17 :problem:

Tampa Bay @ Dallas tonight.
Go Buccaneers!

Denver @ Seattle Mon night.
Hmm, Russell Wilson's new team vs Russell Wilson's old team. :think:

It's actually only twenty years old. The only original things left are the colonnades.

Drainage and field conditions have been an issue since they put in turf in 1988. A lot of that area is actually fill, guessing that's a contributing factor but the field drainage system should be modern. -0-?

They used the Oakland A's architect?

Aaron Rodgers: 8/15, 76 Yds, 0 TD, 1 Int, 39.9 QBRat.
Down 0-17 at the half. :clap:

Report: Lamar Jackson rejected $133 million fully guaranteed

Lots of numerical details and I can't judge, but :crazy: . Can you imagine growing "up in the center of an economically distressed section of Pompano Beach, Florida," being raised along with his siblings by a widowed mother, attending public school and turning down $133 million at 25 years old?

Uhh, that's just the guaranteed portion.

Guess he wants a bigger yacht? -0-?
Jackson “could have earned” more than $290 million over six years.

At some point it's just, 'My dick is bigger than yours.' It's not like he needs or even has plans on how to spend $___ million more. That said, I don't mind if owners get bled.

I love seeing Rodgers #12 on his back, as well as seeing his pissed off face when his receiver drops one that hit him in the numbers.

I've never been a real cheesehead level fan, but I've admired a lot about the Packers, like their small-market enthusiasm, traditions, legendary players, etc., and back when I did work for the Potawatomi up 100 mile northwest of Green Bay, I got a lot of fan indoctrination. And for true, touring the Hall of Fame below the stadium and then standing in Lambeau in January in sub-zero temps does give you a sense of cheeseheadery. But whatever affection I had for the Pack went away at least as long as they keep the asshole Rodgers. I'll root against them no matter who they play, even if it's Dallas.

Plus Farve turned out to be a bigger asshole than previously realized.

Cowboys vs. Pack I'm rooting for injuries.

Agreed x 2. Another thing I liked about them is the collective ownership, the only such in the NFL. wneglia's wife owned a share. No more until the asshole Rodgers is gone and you're not an e-friend.

Cowboys irrelevant.

Seahawks totally appreciate the Bronco's willful cooperation in allowing the 'Hawks to sit in first place for at least a week. Seriously, Bronco errors notwithstanding, the 'Hawks defence was awesome. And Geno played one of the best games of his long and not-very-storied career.

At least 2 goal line fumbles by Bronco RBs sure didn't help Wilson out. Of course, QB performance depends on much more than the QB, but their numbers are broadly comparable:

Russell Wilson: 29/42, 340 Yds, 1 TD, 0 Int, 101.3 QBRat
Geno Smith: 23/28, 195 Yds, 2 TD, 0 Int, 119.5 QBRat
Russell Wilson roundly booed by Seahawks fans in return to Seattle with Broncos

Russell Wilson delivered nine winning seasons, eight playoff appearances, nine playoff wins, two NFC championships and a Super Bowl victory during his 10-year tenure with the Seattle Seahawks.

It was easily the most prosperous run in the 47-season history of the franchise. When he returned to Seattle on Monday for the first time as a visiting player, now with the Denver Broncos, he was greeted with a chorus of boos from Seahawks fans as he took the field for pregame warmups prior to the Seahawks' 17-16 victory.
Many participants in the acrimonious trade so I won't blame the fans, but it's still sad.
... Of course, the vocal chorus who made their voices heard Monday night don't represent all of Seahawks fandom. The fans who didn't boo obviously didn't cancel out volume of the ones that did. Wilson, meanwhile, was seen interacting with fans in the stands who were sporting Broncos and Seahawks gear alike before the game....
That's good. Pretty classless of still butthurt Pete to encourage the booing.
