First set Francis Tiafoe 7(8) - 6(6)! I just learned that he was born in College Park, Maryland, his immigrant Dad was head of maintenance at the USTA regional training center in College Park, and Francis actually lived there with his Dad part-time and started playing tennis regularly at age 4.

Homey! Maybe I will hate it a little if the Spaniard advances.

Aww, second set 6-3 Carlos Alcaraz, 1-1.
Edit: 6-1, 2-1, this is going the wrong direction.

Look who is still winning matches:
Venus Williams beats top-20 player for first time in four years

Venus Williams beat a top-20 player for the first time in four years, rallying from big deficits in both sets to knock off 16th-ranked Veronika Kudermetova 6-4, 7-5 in the first round of the Western & Southern Open on Monday.

The 43-year-old Williams, a seven-time Grand Slam champion, improved her match record this year to 3-5. She came in ranked 533rd.

Williams trailed 4-1 in each set but fought back each time, converting six of nine break points in the match....

Just 19, "first American teenager to win the country's major tennis tournament since Serena Williams (17) in 1999. If last year's US Open was all about saying goodbye to Williams as she competed for the final time, this year's two weeks in New York turned into a 'Welcome to the big time!' for Gauff."

She upset Venus in the opening round of the 2019 Wimbledon. The torch has been passed.

“Williams said. "This doesn't feel like a home court advantage at all for Alabama. The place is not packed. The fans don't seem to be engaged. It seems to be more like a tennis match.”
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”
