For a while there I was getting ready to say something I've never said before -"We're all Demon Deacons" - but noooooo. Effin' Clemson.
Terps put up a good fight.
Damn War Eagles may still want to coach-shop, with an eked-out OT win.
Middle of Nowhere in Tennessee is leading the Hurricanes, while Carolina has somehow managed to avoid being scored on in a whole quarter. Say yay while we can.

Re: College football
Tie game, Auburn 4th and 1 inside field goal range with 1 and a half minutes left. (Easy peasy, game over)
Many, if not everyone would allow the clock to run down to just under a minute and take the field goal for the win.
Nope, not coach blufield.
He isn't phased by the situation at hand, he goes all out for the first down, his runner gets stuffed as he had been all game, giving Missouri the ball with 1.5 minutes left.
Missouri advances to the 2 and with no time on the clock their Iceman kicker shrugs off any sissy warm-up kicks or exercises and casually but heroically saunters over from the bench to miss the chip shot from the 2.
Overtime
Auburn loses 2 yards to the 27 and misses their field goal, but Missouri was offsides and AU's 2nd attempt was good.
Down by 3, Missouri advances the ball over several plays, culminating in a sure-thing touchdown, but ... there were so many buts, but as the runner extended his arm toward the plane of the goal, a funny thing happened, he lost contact with the football about 1 inch before it crossed over the goal.
Auburn recovers, game over, we won (sota).
Hopefully it was too much of a shit show and harsin's season on the plains is over.

Excellent late game recap, billy.pilgrim, a battle to see who wanted to lose more. You forgot to mention that WDE went scoreless for 3 quarters, though.

No offence intended for you or your family. I'm just expressing my big-school elitist snobbery toward what I refer to as "directional schools, some of which are, IRL, excellent.
