You didn't see the Tua hit?

Looked very scary. Possible neurological damage. His fingers were all twisted after his head hit, stretchered off.

Damn. Possible TBI?

Didn't see it until your post. I don't do Amazon TV.

I'm GUESSING that was not true posturing, which is severe brain injury with immediate swelling. Maybe an initial and hopefully temporary shock to a spinal nerve. -0-?

Article says "conscious and had movement in all his extremities," which wouldn't be the case with actual posturing or the worst of spinal injuries.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/346 ... k-injuries
We'll see. Article also says it was a back injury on Sunday, not a concussion, but the Fish might be lying about that.

TV news says that it was posturing from the head injury, but that it does not indicate the severity of the brain injury. My bad. He's supposedly doing well.

I didn't know about the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium game, caught the last 1:30. MN > NO 28-25 on a near walkoff 47 yard FG. Or not. NO 61 yard FG try hits the upright AND the crossbar, no good. The Londoners got a jolly good show.

Early TV here, solely:
Cleveland (-1) at Atlanta
Go Browns, I guess, but  :puke-left:

Other early games:
Commies @ Dallas (-3) :puke-left: :puke-left: Can they both lose?
Several games where I like both teams (sorry, GoCubsGo and O Really)

GO:
@ Philadelphia 3-0 (-6.5) > Jacksonville
@ Baltimore > Buffalo (-3.5)

With any luck, the self-proclaimed football team formerly known as the 'Skins and the long-past has-been wannabe "America's Team" will both have to forfeit due to the teams' owners scumming each other to death.

 Maybe on Jan 8 when neither is headed to the playoffs the players will skip the game and have an Our Owners Suck party, instead.

Late games on TV here:
GO @ Carolina (-1) > Arizona
GO New England > @ Kaarons (-9.5), yeah right

Monday, GO @ San Francisco (-1.5) > Los Angeles Rams

3.5 point underdog Seattle is kicking @ Detroit butt 24-9.
4 point underdog TN is kicking @ Indy butt 24-10.
3.5 point underdog @ Ravens are kicking Bills butt 20-3.

Ok then.

Trubisky threw 7-for-13 in the pocket for 84 yards and one interception before the Steelers decided to bench the sixth-year veteran.

Pickett threw an interception immediately upon arriving in the game.

Ok then.

I didn't watch and don't have an opinion, but this tries to explain one aspect:
https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl-winners-an ... 58161.html
... Josh Allen didn't have his best game but he made the plays that the Bills needed, especially on the final drive. A 20-yard pass to Dawson Knox on third-and-2 was huge. So was a roughing the passer penalty on the Ravens on that drive. Tyler Bass kicked a short field goal as time expired.

The Ravens had a questionable decision before that final Bills drive, but Allen and the Bills' offense probably factored into it. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh decided to go for it on fourth-and-goal at the 2-yard line instead of kicking a field goal and taking a lead. Lamar Jackson was pressured and threw a desperate interception into the end zone. The Bills' final drive would have played out differently if the Ravens took the field goal with Justin Tucker. The Ravens probably didn't want to settle for a field goal, knowing Allen had the capability of leading a touchdown drive right afterward....

Only 3 of 16 AFC teams are above .500, none are unbeaten. 8 are 2-2. Houston has no wins, but it does have a tie. The AFC East is currently the strongest, no thanks to the Pats.

With the LAR (2-1) @ SF (1-2) (-1.5) game pending, there are 5 NFC teams over .500 and 5 at 2-2, possibly 7 after tomorrow night. All have at least 1 win. The NFC East is currently the strongest.

Parity.

Some may remember when Redskins games were always sold out, and one (literally) had to wait for somebody to die or give up their season ticket to get a ticket. Long waiting line for tickets. Average attendance in 2008 was 88K, actually 6K over the stated maximum capacity. In 2021, the team, now named something else and not playing any better, got a mere 53K average, well under the (reduced) maximum of 67K. Washington may be on its way to being the A's of football.

OK, everybody sing along, "To Hell with the Redskins..."

Yeah, that too - and especially that.

But to get it to fit with the tune, you'd have to sing "F* the Commanders..." And I'm find with that, too.

FTFY. Correct number of syllables, too, O Really.

As you say, O Really, average Commie attendance in 2021 (Covid influenced) was under 53K, 31/32 in the NFL.
http://www.espn.com/nfl/attendance/_/year/2021
This year after 2 home games the Commie average is up to 61.3K, but they're still 31/32 and only better than Jacksonville. Is it a regional evolution, though? Nope, Baltimore is 11/32 at 70.5K.

Ftr, Chicago is 30/32 at 61.4K. Ut-oh. Carolina is a surprising 9/32 at 70.8K.

Dallas is #1 by a mile at 93.2K :puke-left: , but several teams exceed the nominal capacities of their smaller stadiums.

In addition to attendance, there's also merch. In my left-side strip of the country, the most popular logo is LA Dodgers, but you can also see Yanks and Red Sox. Baseball gear is more common (as far as I can tell) than football gear, but for football gear, you still still some Cowboys, Packers, etc. I have yet to see anybody wearing any Commander gear. Obviously the closer one is to Washington, the more likely to see it, but has it become common?
