Saw a couple of Kaaron highlights.....he does not look like himself.

Half assed efforts. Possible temper tantrum towards management for the shit team around him.

Of course if he's falling off the father time cliff I'd be ok with that too.

What an effing ripoff.

Bears were driving for the win, third down fields launches a 40-yard pass the receiver gets absolutely mugged and no call from the refs.

A for offensive effort overall. Gutted defense played with some heart too.
Speaking of ripoffs, this article ought to be about Lamar Jackson. ;)
Justin Fields breaks record for most QB rushing yards in a game

Justin Fields broke the NFL record for the most rushing yards in a single game for a quarterback on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.

Fields broke Michael Vick's 173-yard game on the ground, by putting up 178 rushing yards.

The second-year quarterback ended with 123 passing yards and three passing touchdowns in addition to his blistering 178-yard ground game with a rushing touchdown.

The quarterback also broke the team's franchise record for longest run and touchdown run for a quarterback with a 61-yard blast in the third quarter on a third-down scramble....

Despite the Bears' defense giving up 35 points to the Dolphins (technically 28 – one touchdown was a punt block), Fields and the Bears' offense created 32 points of their own.

Over the last three weeks, the Bears' offense has averaged 31.3 points.

Fields' legs have been literally and metaphorically carrying them this season.

A fine bi-fecta of football weekend!
'Hawks win
"team" formerly known as "'Skins" lose after being teased into believing they could beat the Vikes
Kaaron gets miserably humiliated again
Too bad about the Rams, but it wasn't exactly like they deserved to win, either. Total of what - 13 or so punts between them.

Not that I ever forgave the Colts for moving to somewhere out in flyover country, but this story is truly bizarre.
Has an NFL team EVER hired a head coach with ZERO coaching experience other than a mediocre high school program? And why?
Nevermind that he's a white guy - that just makes it look a little worse, but if they'd hired a black guy with Saturday's experience, everybody would be claiming it's just a quota-filling thing so the guy would fail and they'd say "I told you black guys can't coach" or something.

Two possible reasons.

1. He'll temporarily appease the fans. He's a fan favorite who played with Peyton so he's gotta know something. Right?

2. We can tank with a smile on our face with low expectations for a good QB draft class.

Maybe college, but if they're going to hire an affirmative action White guy from a xtian high school into the NFL, they should at least find one named Sunday, or maybe Thursday or Monday. Anyhow, we can all agree that this is ultimately UNC's (Saturday) and SMU's (Irsay) fault. :P

But to state the more-than-obvious, coaching in the NFL isn't easy, even for the most experienced. Dude hasn't even played in what - 10 years or so - and I can't believe the knowledge bank of an ESPN analyst is anywhere near that needed for a coach. And a lot of the best coaches weren't even great players and not many great players made great coaches. And it's difficult to jump from college-level programs to the NFL for a variety of reasons, including the age/experience/maturity of the players. And his high school coaching record wasn't even all that great. But if the Colts win games, one would have to consider the argument of whether it's even necessary to have a head coach.

What, me worry?

Aaron Rodgers' message after his performance against the Lions: 'I'm still the reigning, defending two-time MVP'

 :obscene-birdiered:
... Aaron Rodgers threw three red-zone interceptions in the 15-9 loss to the Detroit Lions, he had his worst passer rating of the season and he and the offense failed to complete a scoring drive in the final two minutes of the game with an opportunity to end the Packers' lengthy losing streak....
 :---P

Comments:
Tom Brady, who has had a more bad than good season so far has not, to the best of my knowledge, used his past successes as a defense or excuse for his performance this year.
Class up, Rodgers.
'I'm still the reigning, defending two-time MVP' - Yeah, but this is a "what have you done for me lately" kind of business. Is Rodgers still hoping to get to last year's super bowl too? Give me a break!
That's what a lot of the has beens say, when they're in a tailspin. Rodgers was one of the best QBs ever, but he was always arrogant and never had any class. The only thing that changed in him, over the years, is that he just got weird.
Hey Aaron, I hear Brett can get you in on the ground floor of a great welfare scam, maybe you can build your alma mater a volleyball stadium! LOL, hope your teammates you are constantly throwing under the bus decide to stop blocking for you! MVP, mostly very petty!!!

Commanders, Dan Snyder, NFL and Roger Goodell all being sued by D.C. AG for 'colluding to deceive' fans

District of Columbia Attorney General Karl Racine filed a consumer protection lawsuit against the Washington Commanders, the NFL, team owner Daniel Snyder, and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for their roles in allegedly covering up the workplace and sexual misconduct allegations against the organization.

"For years the team and its owner have caused very real and very serious harm, and then lied about it to dodge accountability and continue to rake in profits," Racine said in a Thursday news conference. "So far, they seem to have gotten away with it."

Racine claims in the lawsuit that Snyder not only lied about the hostile work environment issues but that he participated in it as well. Racine also called out the NFL's internal investigation into the Commanders, and said the organization and the NFL entered into some sort of agreement that concluded without much punishment for Snyder or the team.

The lawsuit claims Snyder, Goodell, the Commanders and the NFL violated the District of Columbia’s Consumer Protection Procedures Act, which "prohibits a wide variety of deceptive and unconscionable business practices," according to the attorney general's office website.

In the case of the Commanders, Racine noted “public misrepresentations, omissions, and ambiguities of material fact" around how the organization and the NFL investigated claims of misconduct. The attorney general's office seeks “financial penalties under the CPPA for every incident in which the Commanders, Mr. Snyder, the NFL, and Commissioner Goodell lied to District residents dating back to July 2020." The maximum fine for every violation, per Racine, is $5,000....

The attorneys for the more than 40 former Commanders employees who levied allegations of sexual misconduct against the organization released a statement soon after in which they say that Racine's lawsuit "is further evidence of what we've long known: that both the Commanders and the NFL have engaged in deception and lies designed to conceal the team's decades of sexual harassment and abuse ..." ...
:---P

Will it ever go to trial? I'd guess not, but it might result in a package settlement that includes the ousting of Snyder.
