Swine karma?
Eric Musselman's Arkansas frustrations boil over during, after loss

... Razorbacks assistants had to restrain Musselman a couple times during a 67-61 loss Friday night in the quarterfinals in which the Aggies rallied from a 13-point deficit.

After the game, a student journalist tweeted that his phone was grabbed and thrown to the ground by an Arkansas staffer who was walking behind Musselman as he left the court....

:wtf:
... Arkansas (20-13) now must wait until Sunday's NCAA tournament bracket announcement to learn its postseason fate....
Opps.

Aztecs were down by 11 at one point. Held on and got a wee bit of luck at the end. Projected 5 or 6 seed.

What's wrong with the Tar Heels? Lotta opinion/comments here, but I don't see anything that doesn't boil down to "bad coaching." If a coach gets championship results from mediocre players, you call him/her "great." What do you call one that gets mediocre results from championship players?
How about "ex"?

What do you call a 1st year coach that wins the ACC Tourney by beating the team that beat UNC by 9 and Clemson by 20 with 4! freshmen starters?

I notice that not such good has been offered about my sec, but them, Damn, we sure look like bad, embarrassingly bad. There's been inappropriate cursing, fights with benches emptied-coaches too, officiating so bad that maybe BRD people are starting to believe me, there's been murder and even shakedown entrances to the court and a murder t-shirt.
Oh well, bammer wins #1

"The front of the shirts read “GOATS” with the Alabama A logo as the A and the backs said “Killin’ our way through the SEC in ‘23.” Former Alabama basketball player Darius Miles was indicted on capital murder charges this week in the killing of Harris on Jan. 15."

"When an AL.com reporter asked one of the men why he was wearing the shirt, he immediately responded to “get the f— out of my face.” When pressed on why he came to the game wearing that shirt, he stood up and repeatedly said to “get the f— out of my face.”'

"Miller has not been charged with any crimes, but police testified that he transported Miles’ gun to him after being asked to do so. Miles later provided the gun to Michael Davis, according to police, who shot and killed Harris in Tuscaloosa."

Officer, you can let ne go now, I can see that's a hundred pounds of cocaine, but my buddy asked me to drive it over to him

Automatic MM Qualifiers
Also Bracket predictions

... UNC Asheville    Maybe the only UNC :P ...
Nailed it. 15 seed vs 2 seed UCLA Thursday. Woohoo, Cinderella.

8 Maryland vs 9 West Virginia, good.
Winner plays 1 Alabama - 16 winner, not good, but a win would be doubly sweet.

5 San Diego St vs 12 Col of Charleston
Winner plays 4 Virginia - 13 Furman winner. That's a decent shot at the Sweet 16, congrats. Then, maybe 1 Alabama, ut-oh.

Soaring 5 Duke vs 12 Oral Roberts. A win will be doubly sweet.
Winner plays faltering 4 Tennessee - 13 Louisiana winner. That's a decent shot at the Sweet 16. Then, maybe 1 Purdue, ut-oh.

14 Montana St vs 3 Kansas St, Cinderella.

2 Marquette vs 15 Vermont Bernies!, but "Cinderella" is too elitist. Who's a good working class heroine?

8 Iowa vs 9 Auburn, good luck.
Winner plays (AP and Coaches #1) 1 Houston - 16 N Kentucky winner.

5 Miami vs 12 Drake.
Winner plays 4 Indiana - 13 Kent State winner. That's a decent shot at the Sweet 16. Then, maybe 1 Houston, ut-oh.

1 Kansas vs 16 Howard, Cinderella!

 I missed that, sorry. I'm not used to Northwestern (7 seed) being on the winner's side of anything :P . If your Wildcats beat 10 Bluefield sorry about the loss to my mighty Bulldogs. Arf!

WLOS showed a gym gathering cheering for automatic qualifier UNCA's 15 seed selection and 2 seed UCLA draw. :wtf:

Oh wait, UNC is in MM! ;)

Women's Bracketology: 2023 NCAA tournament

4 North Carolina vs 13 East Carolina, sucky pairing :angry-cussing: .
Could meet overall 1 South Carolina :puke-left: in the Sweet 16.

2 Maryland could meet 1 South Carolina :puke-left: in the Elite 8.

3 Duke vs 14 Vermont Bernies!
Could meet 1 Iowa in the Elite 8 if it gets by 2 UConn in the Sweet 16.

9 Miami vs 8 Baylor.
Winner likely to play 1 Indiana, in Bloomington. Ut-oh.

2 Stanford could meet 1 Virginia Tech in the Elite 8 in Blacksburg.

No Auburn, sorry, but 10 Middle Tennessee vs 7 NC State.
Winner then loses to 2 Maryland.

Sorry, no Northwestern, UNCA or BRCC.

When I have done brackets for prize or bragging rights, I usually started with several "experts" (i.e. people who pay far more attention to college basketball than I) then take the consensus or predominant view and then when all things are relatively equal, make my own guess. I generally tried not to be much affected by who I actually might want to win. But this year I won't be doing a bracket, largely because nobody that I care at all about seems to have any chance of getting past the first couple of rounds.

Interestingly, though most seem to think Bammer is going down short of winning the championship. So that's one good thing. Also there's a lot of disparity among the "experts" so one would have to take their guesses lightly. But here's the starting brackets I'd use if I was playing.

Good luck

"The Auburn situation was especially in the spotlight, considering a lower-seeded team is expected to have a de facto home game against eighth-seeded Iowa at 5:50 p.m. CT Thursday (TNT)"

How is this a home game since no tickets are available and the crowd is mostly hostile bammers?

Oh, and it's not a 2 hour drive, more like 4 with traffic.
