At the half
Poor little unranked Auburn is up on #1 Houston by 10.
41 - 31

Will 2 top seeds go down in B'ham tonight?

Damn, we suck.
3s worked so well in the 1st half that in the 2nd half we decided to send our shortest in for layups instead.

FYI, 16 FDU, victor over 1 Purdue, is the shortest team in Div 1 (or maybe just MM).

I did not pick the upset, 13 Furman 68 > UVA 67, but it's great for me since I picked SDSU in the next round. Whack9 rocks. That's IF SDSU survives 12 Charleston. SDSU leading 32-29 at the half.

What are the chances of a Final Four without a 1-seed team?

Kansas played without its head coach and was eliminated in the round of 32 by Arkansas and Eric Musselman (who promptly celebrated by taking off his shirt).

Houston was down 10 at the half against Auburn (in Birmingham!) before the Cougars rallied for the win.

And Purdue ... well, you know all about Purdue....

Houston survived. How far can this 1-seed go? ...
I don't hate Houston, but I'd be okay with its exit for the unlikely Final Four without a 1-seed team.
Alabama is also dealing with injuries. What are the chances we could lose at least one more No. 1 seed before the Final Four? ...
Fingers crossed.

So we've got Creighton-Baylor, both with God ostensibly on their side. Perhaps they should require the loser to don sackcloth and ashes and grovel through 10 repititions of "Hail Mary in the grass, (winner) kicked my sorry ass"

FWIW, if I had done a bracket this year, it would have been a total mess by now. Probably a record worse, other than one done just for sport with no real expectation of success.

Arrggghhh! UNC chased OSU for most of the game, finally took a 1-point lead with 2:00 left. Game tied at 9.8 seconds, UNC lost 69-71. Arrggghhh! The last women's AND men's hope for NC are the Duke women.

Women's

2:30 PM, ESPN, Greenville, SC
9 Miami (21-12) > 4 Villanova (30-6) -4.5
Go O Really Go. Kids can get drunk, take a nap, watch the Men's game.

5:00 PM, ESPN, Greenville, SC
3 LSU (30-2) -5.0 > 2 Utah (27-4)
The only game following the seeding script.

7:30 PM, ESPN, Seattle
Go 6 Colorado (25-8) > 2 Iowa (28-6) -5.5, but I don't hate Iowa.

10:00 PM, ESPN, Seattle
GO 5 Louisville (25-11) -2.5 > 8 Ole Miss (25-8)

2 favs, 2 underdogs.
