These guys know they're just playing in their own minds with imaginary characters and magical events, don't they? Little kids will dress up in capes and pretend to be super-heros, but they know they're just playing and don't confuse their game with reality. Medieval and civil war re-enactors have elaborate costumes, extensive planning, and a lot of fun, but few if any really believe they actually are the characters they play. Think these people don't know they're playing pretend?

It may be fun to demonize the opposition with obvious hyperbole, but they don't really think Walz is a communist, do they?
BTW, there have been anti-gouging laws on the books for years, particularly around disasters like hurricanes, fires, etc. applying to groceries, if actually feasible, wouldn't be precedent-setting. Many places have restrictions on how much/quickly rents can be increased. But if they want to talk about actual "price controls" they have to go back to the only administration that has done that in peacetime, and it wasn't a Dem. Of course, Nixon would probably be considered a commie now since he facilitated trade with Chinese.
