He said that to Josh Allen??? What a low class, and proven incorrect, whiner! I've lost all respect. That view was shown on TV and maybe in the stadium before the game even ended. Idiot.
Yeah, he and Andy Reid even bitched about it on the podium after the game.

Bet there's some mea culpas coming. They look foolish and are now a whole lot easier to root against.

Good on Mahomes, sort of. He regrets his lack of class, but never admits that he was factually wrong.

Good on Reid, sort of. He admits that he was factually wrong then whines caveats about the refs when he should have just stfu after the admission.

4 teams tied at 7 near the end of the 2nd

EDIT: Both games 10-7 at the half

EDIT 2:
Pack goes up by 1 with 1:33 left.
NYG drive the field, walkoff 37 Yd Field Goal, 24-22.
Fun. Congrats, GoCubsGo.

EDIT 3: Titans win by 1 on a TD with 1:49 left and a subsequent defensive stand. Another fun game. Sorry, O Really.

I'm 5-4 for the week :|

The Browns, now led by ancient Joe Flacco, have not only used 4 QBs this year, they've won games with 4 different QBs
Ravens' Tylan Wallace Thrills NFL Fans with Walk-Off Punt Return TD in OT vs. Rams

The Baltimore Ravens were locked in a slugfest against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday that went to overtime, but a miraculous play from an unlikely hero.

Third-year wide receiver Tylan Wallace delivered a walk-off 37-31 win for the Ravens with a thrilling 76-yard punt return touchdown in the extra period.

 He had to work for that one.
Wallace had not returned a punt or kickoff in a game this season and was inserted into the role after Devin Duvernay exited Sunday's game with a back injury. In fact, he had no punt returns in his NFL career prior to Sunday and only had two kickoff returns that came in his rookie season in 2021. He also has not recorded any catches this season and had only appeared in six games as a special teamer before Sunday's matchup.
Bet he gets more playing time now.

... The Ravens have looked like one of the top contenders in the AFC throughout this season, but sometimes it takes some magic to get a win. They got that from Wallace, who is a prime example of staying ready to perform whenever his number is called....

10-7  Bill's final year?

Have I mentioned that I work for Patriots HR?

Patriots have reportedly already decided to move on from Bill Belichick in 2024
The Patriots are 1 of 2 teams already eliminated from the NFL playoffs

The Panthers are the other one
... Since Brady, however, it’s been a very different story with the Patriots. The team has been to the playoffs just once since Brady left for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, falling in the wild-card round in the 2021 season. Brady’s replacement, Mac Jones, has struggled too. He has been benched multiple times this season in favor of Bailey Zappe.

The Patriots are 3-10 headed into Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. New England is currently last in the AFC East. The Patriots have lost several bad blowout games this year — a 38-3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, a 34-0 loss to the New Orleans Saints — and they’re one of two teams in the league already eliminated from the playoffs. Even if they were to win out, that would bring the team to just 7-10....
Buh-bye

The Browns, now led by ancient Joe Flacco, have not only used 4 QBs this year, they've won games with 4 different QBs

Nick Mullens makes history for Vikings with eye on postseason

Mullens will be the Vikings' fourth starting quarterback in the past seven games, following Kirk Cousins, Jaren Hall and Joshua Dobbs. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the Vikings will be the 29th NFL team since 1950 to endure that frequency of turnover at the position.

That's not the wild part, however. Such a turn of events has usually led to disaster. In fact, only four of the previous 28 teams have made the playoffs, and all of them -- most recently the 2013 Green Bay Packers -- have gotten their original starter back for at least a portion of the remainder of the season. And even in the messy interim, none of them got wins from all four of their starters in that seven-game stretch (except for during the 1987 strike season).

The 2023 Vikings would be the first if Mullens -- named the team's starting quarterback this week by coach Kevin O'Connell -- can lead them to a victory over the Bengals. If he does, the Vikings would have an excellent chance -- 78.5%, according to ESPN's Football Power Index -- to be the first team in NFL history to make the playoffs after losing their starting quarterback for the season and rotating three other starters in their lineup so quickly after the injury.

Even if they lose Saturday, FPI would still give them a 51.5% chance to reach the postseason, albeit in a larger 14-team field than some of their predecessors. Put more simply, the Vikings are well on their way to one of the most objectively improbable playoff runs in NFL history....
:headscratch: :headscratch: :headscratch: Just because the computer spits out a stat doesn't mean that a reporter has to use it.

The Browns have also won with 4 starting QBs - PJ Walker, Deshaun Watson, Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco, but in an 8-game stretch.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/team/schedule/ ... and-browns

The 8-5 Browns are more likely to make the playoffs than the 7-6 Vikings.
If both teams make the playoffs nobody is going to remember that the Vikings won with 4 QBs during a 7-game stretch, it's meaningless compared to the fact of 4 winning QBs.

Think time heals all wounds? In sports, not so much. TV sports guy considers it a "fun" day for San Diego fans. It's interesting how little (basically none) Chargers merch is seen around here. Every once in a while you'll see somebody in a Rivers shirt or similar, but otherwise they're dead.

The traitors moved the year before we first came here, and we weren't hard core Chargers fans anyway, but it's part of the grain of the culture.

I don't know what Araiza and his teammates did - maybe they drugged and raped a 17-year old kid. Or maybe not. With one side of the story from "Ms. Doe" on the table and no supporting evidence yet, it's clear teams no longer care about "fair" or anything other than avoiding controversy that could cost them some money.

I have no doubt that something happened the night in question, and it probably wasn't very gentlemanly. But I've never read a civil complaint yet in which the plaintiff's lawyer didn't exaggerate their story and include every single possibility of harm.

"Ex-Buffalo Bills punter Matt Araiza won't face charges in sexual assault case"

You'd think lawyers were paid by the word.
"I am never surprised when a prosecutor does not file sexual assault charges when the victim was intoxicated,'' the woman's attorney, Dan Gilleon, said in a statement provided to USA TODAY Sports. "It’s a very rare case where the criminal justice system achieves anything satisfactory for the victim in a sexual assault.

"In the criminal system, the victim is just another witness. She is not represented by anyone. Prosecutors cannot file charges unless they think they can get a unanimous decision from all jurors who cannot vote to convict unless they’re convinced beyond any reasonable doubt. The lawsuit we filed is not in the criminal justice system.''
Though this rings mostly true.

Whatever happened it sucks for Araiza that he (probably) wasn't there and that the evidence makes "prosecuting anyone for rape impossible."

Prosecutors: Former Bills punter Matt Araiza wasn't present during alleged gang rape
A recently released 200-plus-page transcript details exculpatory evidence in the case vs. Matt Araiza

I wonder if this crushes the civil suit and whether some team will give “Punt God” a shot now.
I would hope so.
The civil suit has been withdrawn.
Where does Matt Araiza go to to get his reputation — let alone his NFL career — back?
The accusations that caused Matt Araiza to lose his NFL career shouldn’t stand in the way of his chance to earn it back

... Ariaza acknowledged no wrongdoing and made no monetary payment to the accuser. His only concession was agreeing to pull his own defamation suit against the woman, though he maintained the right to sue her attorney.
:---P

Then, there's a strong possibility that non-consensual sex never occurred.
Previously, San Diego County police investigated the incident and declined to recommend that any charges be filed against anyone. The San Diego County prosecutor’s office then conducted a separate, independent investigation and came to the same conclusion.

Meanwhile, San Diego State University conducted its own “independent conduct” investigation and stated that there were “no findings against Matt Araiza.”
GoSDSUGo! Good luck, "Punt God," now just 23.
