I've always watched golf more as background music or something to nap with than top tier entertainment. However, a lot of golf is personality-driven, and I enjoyed it a lot more when many of the top players were recognizable and distinctive. Local golf hero Xander Shauffle gets a lot of press but at least publicly he's got the personality of cellophane. Other local Mickelson doesn't get mentioned much anymore and when he is it's more for whining over some tax crap or something. I like McIlroy but he's picked up a nasty habit of having his wheels fall off in the third or fourth rounds. I got tired of Tiger-Tiger-Tiger all the time, and particularly was annoyed when new of a tournament was reported and the guys starts out "Tiger finished the day in 22nd, having trouble with his putts. Tiger's shirt looked a little damp and Tiger's caddy scratched his ass a lot during the day. Oh, by the way, Fowler is leading, and now back to the weather chick."

But fan or not, the real reason viewership is down is because there's (barely) no Tiger anymore.

My favorite golf guy was John Daly....he'd wear crazy pants and even show up drunk on the course. He was sort of the gonzo golfer.

I also enjoy watching little clips of trump lugging his fat ass around a golf course.

Trump's "golf" game is truly a naked Emperor story. Everybody knows he's not that good; everybody knows he lies; everybody knows he cheats. Yet they'll stand around with straight faces while he awards himself club championships, claims to beat pros, and claims to never miss fairways while standing ass deep in the gorse.

Meanwhile, real golfers get lose strokes for accidental movement of their ball and get dq'd from tournaments for making an honest mistake on their scorecard.

Meanwhile Rebel Wilson gets bashed for dropping a couple of years off her age for a film role and staying a virgin to age (maybe) 35.

... WithumSmith+Brown was appointed to vet Trump Media & Technology Group's financials soon after it was founded in early 2021. But the firm resigned before the end of 2021, the FT reported citing people familiar with the matter.

According to the FT's sources, WithumSmith+Brown no longer wanted to be associated with Trump and his company after several months on the job....

In January 2022, Trump Media instead turned to a smaller accounting firm to conduct the audit, BF Borgers, which has less than stellar record with regulators. The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board said it identified multiple deficiencies in every audit it had reviewed from BF Borgers in the past two years, per Bloomberg.

BF Borgers was also removed from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' peer review program in November "because the firm was found to be so seriously deficient in its performance that education and remedial, corrective actions are not adequate."
