Another reason to hate KC:
(KC) kicker Harrison Butker bashes Pride Month, tells women to stay in the kitchen
"tyranny of" fairness?... Butker recently delivered the commencement address at Benedictine College, a liberal arts institution in Atchison, Kansas. This is the same college that once forced out gay basketball player Jallen Messersmith to remove a rainbow flag from his dorm room window.
It would seem that Butker felt right at home....
Then, Butker got to what he termed the dangers of the “church of nice.”
“The world around us says that we should keep our beliefs to ourselves whenever they go against the tyranny of diversity, equity and inclusion,” Butker said. “We fear speaking truth, because now, unfortunately, truth is in the minority.”
Christofascist, figures. Then, on to Pride Month, which takes place in June.
“Not the deadly sins sort of Pride that has an entire month dedicated to it, “but the true God-centered pride that is cooperating with the holy ghost to glorify him.”
"gender ideologies" He's opposed to gender?Butker has every right to say whatever he wants at such an address, but he also deserves the flak he’s going to get over it. Most likely, he’ll take it as one for the team in the fight against, as he put it, “dangerous gender ideologies.”

Pretty sure Andy Reid leans right and as long as he kicks well he's probably safe.Of course, not everyone followed his lead. Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker took the opportunity to send a political message to Biden, wearing a tie that read “Vulnerari Praesidio,” which is Latin for “Protect the Vulnerable” – a popular Pro-Life message.

How to honor Native Americans without using the word Indian or depicting a picture?

Blackhawks still have their logo, don't they? And it's more cartoonish than the former Redskin logo. Given the history of the logo, they could change the name of the former Redskins to "Blackfeet". Of course, with the high population of actual Black people in DC, there might be other objections.

If you name a team after one tribe all the other tribes are going to be butthurt.

Some college teams, like the Seminoles , but no pros. Maybe some tribe will use some of its casino money and buy a team, named after themselves.

Re: NFL Football
Would the NFL allow a casino-owned team? Would gambler/fans tolerate it?
Steve Daines is just making noise for votes at home. He will capitulate and there will be no Indian logo besides, maybe, a throwback uniform once a year. Perhaps he'll settle for a bust of the Blackfeet artist in the new stadium?
Now, about the sucky team name?

Honestly hoping his other achilles blows this year.
NFL star Aaron Rodgers praised Russian President Vladimir Putin as an "interesting, smart individual" and railed against Covid vaccines, in a new interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson released Tuesday.
The New York Jets star and Super Bowl-winning quarterback said Carlson's interview with the Russian leader in February, Putin's first interview with any Western media since his forces invaded Ukraine in 2022, was "awesome."

Re: NFL Football
I might be mad, but the team sucks. The Carolina Panthers Are Only NFL Team With 0 Primetime Games
... Meanwhile, the New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys, and San Francisco 49ers each received the maximum allotment of six primetime games. More than half the league has at least four primetime assignments.
Carolina didn't exactly earn top billing after a 2-15 season. The Panthers finished last in total offense behind No. 1 pick Bryce Young, who averaged 5.5 yards per pass attempt in his rookie season.
The Panthers could take this snub as a slight, but it probably beats having to play on Thursday.
Carolina played one Thursday Night Football game last year, a 16-13 loss to the Chicago Bears. They also fell 20-17 to the New Orleans Saints during a Week 2 Monday Night Football doubleheader.
There's hope:
GoPrimetimePanthersGo!Despite Wednesday's scheduling slight, the Panthers could still prove the NFL wrong and earn a primetime appearance later this season. The league allows flex scheduling for Thursday, Sunday, and Monday night primetime games.

"Every time bro goes for a kick I go 'he’s about to queen out' because he literally pops a hip and flares his hands out like he’s about to do a drag queen walk," one user claimed.
"AAAAHHHHH!!! It makes so much sense, his Instagram is just full of all the different outfits he wears," another said. "The bags and the leather gloves were a dead giveaway."...
... "Harrison Butker, I hope you miss every kick this season and you are hereby banished from the Swiftie-Chiefs Kingdom alliance," one user wrote on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. "Disrespecting Pride Month and my trans friends? Nah, bro, we identify YOU and your hateful heart as the problem."
Another said Harrison Butker, "did a bang-up job of becoming one of the most hated men in North America in the space of one 20-minute speech full of bigotry and misogyny. F-ck this guy. This is insane."...

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, who raised eyebrows for suggesting women should be homemakers, was raised by a mom who’s a physicist.
His mom, Elizabeth Butker, has been a medical physicist at Emory University’s department of radiation oncology since 1988, per her LinkedIn. She specializes in brachytherapy and Gamma Knife medical physics care, per a 2020 article by Emory’s Winship Cancer Institute.
Elizabeth received her master’s degree in medical physics from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1988 after attending Smith College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 1985. Elizabeth’s father, James Keller, worked in oncology at Emory for 28 years before retiring in 2011.
