Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Repugs in Oregon staged a 6-week "walk-out" to protest passage of various bills. They either forgot or were painfully ignorant of an amendment passed that disallowed those with excess absence from the legislature to run again. Opps. And, like repugs everywhere, when they ran afoul of the law they sued to get to ignore the law. Opps again. Losers, literally and figuratively.

How did you reply 3 days before O Really’s post?

Someone posted this item of huge Biden sucks importance at LNF. I explained what happened one of the very first comments, but that did not deter brain dead pee and mm from doubling down on this being an example of a conspiracy by the media to hide the truth from the public and of course shank jumped in with more nonsense.

They’re up to three pages on this.

Good job. I posted about this idiocy on our Immigration thread:

I only glanced at the LNF first and last page. That's  that they're still going for 3 pages after you posted the truth.

Priceless.
Jail call leads to charges in fatal crash where stray tire hit woman's windshield

Almost a year after 18-year-old Lauren Collins was killed when a stray tire struck her windshield while she was driving on Interstate 75 in Northern Kentucky, a man is facing charges in connection with the crash....

A few days after the crash, Raider reported to the Independence Police Department, saying that “he lost a tire on the interstate over the past weekend but didn’t believe his tire had hit anyone," the sheriff's office said.

Investigators obtained a recorded jail call months later between Raider and an inmate at the Bullitt County Detention Center in which Raider admitted being northbound on I-75 when a tire dismounted from his Ford pickup truck, officials said.

Raider added that he saw the tired hit Collins' vehicle and knew someone was likely hurt or killed because of the collision, the sheriff's office said....
 It's like he walked into the PD and confessed.

So guys, let's get our motorcycles, dress up in our leathers and a big helmet and take a cruise into one of the hottest spots in Death Valley - it's only 128 degrees out there. What could go wrong?

Hint: one finds out why they call it "Death Valley" another is in hospital, and they found out that rescue helicopters aren't able to fly in temps above 120.

As the temperature climbed Saturday to a record 128 degrees Fahrenheit in Death Valley National Park, a group of motorcyclists became distressed by the extreme heat, and one of them died, a park ranger said.

Hot air = thin air, no lift

I once talked to UMC Trauma Center in Vegas about flight nursing. Usually, they would fly with an RN and a paramedic, but just an RN when over 100. They would still carry 2 critical patients, though. I asked how that works. "We have some extension tubing and the pilot bags one of the patients."

I never ended up moving to Vegas, but that would have been interesting. :o :problem:

Yeah, in addition to the air temp of 128, the pavement was probably 160-175 or so (175 is the temperature of the McDonald's coffee that caused third degree burns to the customer), and they're sitting on a hot engine.

I think I've mentioned I've got one tattoo from way back in the day - peace sign superimposed on US flag - on my upper arm. Never wanted any more nor regretted that one. But I really don't understand people getting facial tattoos. And especially bad facial tattoos. Post Malone and Jelly roll come to mind, but I see them frequently on the street. Don't see how they wouldn't come to regret those.

She has another tattoo on her chest that’s been the “most limiting” in her modeling career, but the removal process on that part of her body would be “incredibly painful and time-consuming,” she says.

I've hiked to the river twice, in March and December. It would never occur to me to do so in June/July.

Loaded BNSF Arbor COLLIDES and DERAILS in Bennet, NE! MOST INSANE VIDEO I'VE EVER TAKEN!
Nebraska teen accused of causing train derailment for YouTube video

... The 17-year-old, who was not named, was charged with two felony counts of criminal mischief in Lancaster County Juvenile Court, but prosecutors have already filed a motion to have the case transferred to adult court, NBC News reported.

According to an investigation carried out by BNSF Railway, the teen tampered with a railroad switch, causing two locomotives and five loaded BNSF cars to veer off the tracks near Bennet on April 21.

While the trains did not flip over, one of them crashed into an empty coal car, resulting in more than $350,000 in damage, per court documents.

Just before the crash, the conductor said he attempted to make an emergency stop but ran out of time before he could do so.

He told investigators a misaligned switch, at a crossing near Monroe and Juniper streets, caused the crash. He noted that a padlock for the switch had also been missing, indicating it had been tampered with.

The teen, described in court documents as a train enthusiast, was the one who alerted authorities to the incident and was still on the scene when they arrived.

He approached the investigator and asked what caused the crash. When the investigator said he didn’t know, the suspect allegedly said, “obviously a switch was flipped the wrong way,” according to a warrant obtained by KOLN.

The teen also showed the investigator the video he took, but denied trespassing in the area and tampering with the switch. He was allegedly spotted setting up his camera and tripod near the crossing just four minutes before the train derailed, investigators said....
587K views + 3.5K likes = 2 felony convictions and $350,000 in restitution :problem:
YT comments:
You are no railfan, YOU are a Jailfan
this kid not only derailed the train, but he also derailed his life
Bro, you derailed a train just for views. You're cooked buddy.
As a fellow 17 year old railroad enthusiast, yes we all make dumb decisions. But god, how dumb do you have to be to endanger the lives of the railroad crew as well as any civilians nearby all for your 5 seconds of internet fame?? This is honestly so beyond me as to why you even remotely thought this was a good idea. Have fun with the charges that await ya bud.
As a conductor myself this is one of my biggest fears. I could only imagine the terror of the engineer and conductor once they saw the switch was lined for the derail. Hope you get the max sentence.
