Elon Muskiedoodle

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

He's deteriorating fast:

The wingnuts new mantra.
Free speech, no responsibility.
Hours later, Musk shared a map purporting to be from Nate Silver, the renowned statistician and FiveThirtyEight founder, projecting a 312-226 electoral college victory for Trump in November, saying the election was “trending well.” The map, however, was a fake.

The real map from Silver’s newsletter platform, “Silver Bulletin,” published Wednesday shows several states in play, including Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, and Silver himself noted that “the race is really a tossup” in the post. Meanwhile, in simulations from FiveThirtyEight, which Silver parted ways with last year, Harris was forecast to win the election in 64 out of 100 simulations.

Extreme RW opinions, wild conspiracy theories, hateful bigotry - the blatant lies and lack of accountability when busted bother me most of all.

Explains a lot.

https://x.com/jimstewartson/status/1842699606385422553
Elon Musk has gained a concerning level of power over US national security
With SpaceX, Starlink and X, Musk has more foreign policy sway than probably any unelected person in US history

Robert Reich

... Most of these concerns, by the way, came before Musk reactivated the accounts of conspiracy theorists and white nationalists on X and began pushing his own rightwing narrative on the platform, and before he announced his support for Trump in the upcoming election and posted a potential incitement to assassinate Biden and Harris.

Elon Musk poses a clear and present danger to American national security. The sooner the US government revokes his security clearance, terminates its contracts with him and the entities he controls, and builds its own alternatives to Starlink and SpaceX, the safer America will be.

Robert Reich, a former US secretary of labor, is a professor of public policy at the University of California Berkeley and the author of Saving Capitalism: For the Many, Not the Few and The Common Good. His newest book, The System: Who Rigged It, How We Fix It, is out now. He is a Guardian US columnist. His newsletter is at robertreich.substack.com
 Plus, Musk is insane.

O Really, having been asked to take it down by a credible entity, does Elon become an accessory to libel and treason if he doesn't?

I wonder if Elon took down the fake video.

Now we have his Mom and her Canadian friends cheating:

Elon Musk’s Mom Suggests She May Break Voting Laws

 Of course she does. Lock her up!
... Elon Musk has also endorsed the dangerous “Dark MAGA” movement which promotes authoritarianism, conspiracy theories and a dystopian world where a Donald Trump win is the only possible election outcome.
Of course he has :obscene-birdiered:

Trump Says He Will Appoint Elon Musk And Vivek Ramaswamy To A ‘DOGE’ Department
The new "department" will aim to "slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies," according to Trump.

So, rather than getting departments throughout government to use existing processes to improve performance Dolt .45 is creating a brand new bureaucracy in order to reduce bureaucracy. :headscratch: Irony.

We can bet that Elon's hundreds of millions of dollar in federal contracts and purchases will be exempt from Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) scrutiny.

Elon, opps.

Elon Musk publicized the names of government employees he wants to cut. It’s terrifying federal workers

... Last week, in the midst of the flurry of his daily missives, Musk reposted two X posts that revealed the names and titles of people holding four relatively obscure climate-related government positions. Each post has been viewed tens of millions of times, and the individuals named have been subjected to a barrage of negative attention. At least one of the four women named has deleted her social media accounts....
The asshole is going to get good people killed.

"climate-related government positions" - Figures:

Tesla Factory In California Pollutes So Much It Is Second Only To An Oil Refining Company
Did Elon Musk ever actually care about the environment, or was it just a scam to make people like him?

Article

... Despite these concerns and expressions of concern from politicians on both sides of the aisle, the Pentagon budget has continued to grow with limited resistance when it comes to budget votes.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) issued a report last year that documented hundreds of former government officials who have crossed over to lobby for the defense industry.

“To keep the money flowing, defense contractors frequently hire former Pentagon and other government officials to help them win defense contracts from their former colleagues,” the report reads.
Yup. DOGE without going after the Pentagon ain't "Government Efficiency”.
