The Raiders made Justin Fields look like Patrick Mahomes today. :angry-banghead:

Looks like both Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels are going to be great QBs.

Who do you like among next year’s QBS class? Carson Beck? Jalen Milroe? Shadier Sanders? Quinn Evers? Can Ward?

I really like Milroe.
Milroe has killer stats, but we mostly hate everything 'Bama on BRD ;)

I haven't followed them close enough to say. I have an emotional preference for Shadier Sanders, but don't know that his skills are superior. He barely lost yesterday, but still threw 34/40 for 388 yards and 3 TDs with 3 injured WRs, including the team's 2 best :-||

I like Sanders, too. My only concern with him is, how much of a problem will his dad be? I mean, if I’m an NFL head coach, I’m not sure I’d want Deion Sanders looking over my shoulders and commenting on how I’m handling his son. It might be too much of a distraction.

One thing is for sure: The Raiders *MUST* draft one of the top available QBs for next season. Milroe, Sanders, Ward, etc.

Easy to deal with. The NFL head coach could start looking over Deion's shoulders and commenting on how he's handling the Buffaloes :twisted:

Nope. Never have liked him. Sports team owners aren't always nice people anyway, but he pretty much hits the trifecta with egotist, asshole, sleazebag.

Great minds . . .
Judging biggest overreactions for NFL Week 6 games

The great Chris Berman used to call it the black-and-blue division, but in Week 6, the NFC North teams did some serious scoring.

Sunday opened with Caleb Williams and the Bears hanging 35 points on the Jaguars in London to improve to 4-2. In the early window, the Packers thumped a penalty-addled Cardinals team 34-13 to also move to 4-2. The late window saw the Lions embarrass the Cowboys 47-9 -- we'll get to Dallas in a moment -- to improve to 4-1. And through it all, the 5-0 Vikings sat home and enjoyed their bye week.

Ever since the NFL expanded the postseason to include seven teams from each conference, it has been possible for one division to send all four of its teams to the playoffs. It has yet to happen....

Now here we are, six weeks in, and every team in the NFC North is at least two games over .500. And because this is Week 6 overreactions -- where we judge a few potential takeaways as legitimate or irrational -- no, it is absolutely not too early to ask whether we might get to see some history made....

Spoiler:

The Browns' Deshaun Watson

Who could have predicted that it was a BAD deal? Oh, that's right, everybody. The writer thinks the Browns are sunk for years. Shame.

One thing is for sure: The Raiders *MUST* draft one of the top available QBs for next season. Milroe, Sanders, Ward, etc.
One view:
NFL mock draft from CBS has 4 QBs in top-12 including Shedeur Sanders

Will Shedeur Sanders be the first QB taken off the board in the 2025 NFL Draft? Seems like that’s where the needle is pointing right now as we saw in the newest ESPN NFL mock draft, which had Sanders going to the Cleveland Browns.

Our 2025 mock from Christian D’Andrea had Sanders to the Carolina Panthers. But the latest NFL mock draft from CBS also had Sanders to the Browns at No. 2, and there were three other QBs taken in the top-12: Miami’s Cam Ward to the Panthers, Georgia’s Carson Beck to the Raiders and Texas’s Quinn Ewers to the Giants.

Here’s the take on Sanders to the Browns from Josh Edwards:

Cleveland has overcommitted resources to a team going nowhere with Deshaun Watson as its quarterback. Shedeur Sanders is a potential way out for the franchise, but it loses the benefits of a quarterback on a rookie contract as they push Watson’s dead money forward.
In the short term it will be a shame if Sanders goes to Cleveland. They're a mess. In the long term -0-?

At this point do you want the Raiders to lose games so they get the best draft slot?

I know it's intended to help "parity" and give bad teams a chance, but I always find it sad when a top player has to go to a really awful team.

Hey, we've had our fair share of failures, but only one real asshole and criminal.

I'm giving Jim McMahon a pass because one, he won a super bowl and two he's got some severe brain trauma. Plus he was a really fun guy and hated the McCaskeys.

Kristin Cavallari did the smart thing, eventually.

The McCaskeys are bad?

Yeah, your bigger QB issues have been the on-field flops.

She has many, many of her own issues, Cutler was near the top though.

Not the matriarch so much, she really hasn't been involved for years.

Michael McCaskey was the absolute pits. Not a football guy and didn't care about the product on the field as long as the $$ came in.

The jury is still out on George, but it's trending well atm.

Interesting, DC icon and possible future DC icon:
Opinion: Jayden Daniels and Doug Williams share a special QB connection – as they should

1-0 so far
TV here:

1:00 PM FOX
Go Lions > @Vikings (-1.5), but I don't hate MN.
I don't mind, but we're nowhere near either market. Maybe Seahawks @Falcons at 1:00 PM on FOX is blacked out in Upstate SC. FOX has a hologram of Tom Brady who's in SF standing with the pregame gang, weird.
MN scores first 10 in 1st, ut oh. Lions take over the game in the 2nd, 21-10 at the half.
Goff is 12/12! 156 YDS, 1 TD, has completed 87% in the last 10 quarters
Gibbs 8 CAR, 84 YDS! 2 TD!
Exciting 2nd half. Lions kick the short go ahead FG with 0:15 left. 31-29 final :thumbup: KC is the only remaining undefeated team. Jared Goff:
22/25 280 YDS 11.2 AVG, 2 TD 0 INT, SACKS 4-33 140.0 RTG

4:05 PM CBS
Panthers vs @Commanders (-9.5 :shock: ) Go football
:yawn: Commanders trounced the Panthers 40-7, of course.

4:25 PM FOX
Go @49ers 3-3 (-2, interesting) > KC 5-0 18-28 :thumbdown:

GO:

1:00 PM

Seahawks > @Falcons (-3) 17-7 at the half :thumbup:
34-14 :clap:

@Bills (-9) > Titans 34-10 :thumbup:

@Browns > Bengals (-5.5)
Browns' Deshaun Watson carted off with noncontact Achilles injury
That was sooo smart trading for him. 14-21 :thumbdown:

@Packers (-3) > Texans. Sorry, GoCubsGo 24-22 phew

Dolphins > @Colts (-3) GoO ReallyGo 10-3 at the half :thumbup:
10-16 final, awww.

ALSO
Eagles romped on NYG 28-3. Congrats, O Really.

4:05 PM
Raiders > @Rams (-7) GoJasmineGo Aww, close 15-20.

8:20 PM NBC/Peacock
@Steelers 4-2 > Throw Rogan and the MAGA Jets 2-4 (-2.5 :wtf: )
1st quarter: Watching Throw Rogan and especially Wilson is sad.
2nd quarter: 2 points handed to the Jets by the refs :bs:
3rd quarter: 2 of Wilson's longest receptions have been poor throws that got caught by extreme luck :headscratch: Others were dumpoffs followed by great Breece Hall running.

Monday, October 21, 2024

Ravens (-3.5) > Buccaneers. GoBaltimoreGo

Bye Week Teams
Bears, Cowboys
