My "Ut-oh" is for the 2nd NYY loss. I am glad O is okay, and I like your history lesson. Traditions must be honored.GoCubsGo wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2024 10:28 pmHe's gonna play tomorrow.

I trusted you!
Well that was foolish.

Yankee Stadium fans ejected for prying ball from Mookie Betts' glove
... Capobianco and Peter were escorted out of Yankee Stadium but said they were told they would be allowed back for Game 5 on Wednesday.
These guys aren't very smart. IF the Yankees plan to allow them back in the surest way to get the stadium to change its mind is by telling the media about how you are skating. The Yankees did not immediately respond to ESPN's request for comment regarding if that was indeed the case....
When my gf’s dog starts eating something they’re not supposed to
“Gimmie dat.”
Idk, any questions and he'll have to admit that he "earned" the ring with 8 non-WS at-bats, including a walk and just one hitYankees prospect Taylor Trammell had a delightful reaction to being guaranteed a World Series ring no matter what
While the Dodgers head into Tuesday's Game 4 of the World Series with a commanding 3-0 series lead, one player in the Yankees organization won't mind seeing the Dodgers lift the Commissioner's Trophy.
He's getting a ring no matter what.
In the most unusual of circumstances, Taylor Trammell -- an outfielder currently in the Yankees' minor-league system -- is guaranteed a World Series ring whether New York completes a historic comeback or not. The reason is simple: Trammell has appeared in regular season games for both the Dodgers and Yankees.
The 27-year-old outfielder started the season with the Dodgers where he went hitless in six at-bats. He was designated for assignment on April 16 and claimed off waivers by New York a couple days later. Though Trammell's stint with the Yankees was short before being sent down -- a hit and walk in two plate appearances -- that was enough to qualify for a Yankees ring....
“I get a ring now and that’s such a cool thing to say. For me, this is so awesome because I can say I’m a World Series champion now."...
That's embarrassing.
Opps, the ring won't be for both teams. So, it will only be either six or two at-bats that he can claim.
Is there a ring or other prize for the pennant? He could get 2 of those.
Dodgers 1B Freddie Freeman's HR streak sets World Series record
Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman homered in the first inning of Game 4 of the World Series on Tuesday night, breaking a World Series record with a homer in sixth consecutive games.
The 35-year-old Freeman, whose injuries had hobbled him and limited him to only singles through the first two rounds of the playoffs, has found his power stroke in the World Series....
According to ESPN Research, Freeman is the second player to homer in four straight games in a single World Series, and the first to homer in each of the first four games. George Springer homered in the last four games of the 2017 World Series against the Dodgers.
Los Angeles leads the series 3-1. Freeman is the overwhelming favorite to earn MVP honors if the Dodgers can clinch their eighth championship. Game 5 is Wednesday....
The streak dates to 2021, when Freeman was with the Atlanta Braves and they were finishing a World Series win against Houston. Freeman homered in a Game 5 loss before adding a solo shot -- his fifth of the series -- in the seventh inning of the Braves' title-clinching win in Game 6.
In the 10 games of his World Series career, Freeman is hitting .343/.385/.943 with six home runs and 14 RBIs.
I called it, maybe. I'll bet the Yankees got tons of calls, posts and emails, but perhaps there would have been a Game 5 ban, regardless.Vrede too wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 11:22 amYankee Stadium fans ejected for prying ball from Mookie Betts' glove

Yankees fans who interfered with Mookie Betts banned from World Series Game 5
The Yankees announced in a statement Wednesday that the fans "will not be permitted to attend tonight's game in any capacity" and added that the incident Tuesday night with Betts was "egregious and unacceptable."
A source told ESPN's Jesse Rogers earlier Wednesday that it was not immediately clear whether the ban against Austin Capobianco, a season-ticket holder, and John Peter would apply to any Yankee Stadium games next season.
"The safety and security of players, fans and Stadium staff is the foundational element of every event held at Yankee Stadium, and it cannot be compromised," the Yankees said in their statement.
They violated the customer agreement, no refund.... Capobianco told Rogers that the Yankees refunded him the cost of the tickets for Game 5 and also informed him that he would be arrested if he tried to attend the game.
Show mercy, exchange their season tickets for nosebleed seats At least move them back from the first row. Or, a long term or permanent ban works for me, too."We're hoping for a short-term ban," Capobianco told Rogers. "We don't want to lose the season tickets."...
I was half kidding. I don't think there's hardware for a league championship but I may be mistaken. What there are though are playoff shares or partial playoff shares so at least he'll get a little money.
