I kinda get showing your lunacy when you're retired, but while you're active during the season and undercutting your teammates?

Also, bonehead move to choose a cap with colors that read so poorly on TV. Here it is:GoCubsGo wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 12:21 pmI kinda get showing your lunacy when you're retired, but while you're active during the season and undercutting your teammates?

I'm pretty sure that Bosa has no problem with the obscene display at MSG. Wiki:Opinion: Nick Bosa wore a MAGA hat on same day as vile and racist Trump rally
... A CNN headline described the rally this way: "Trump loyalists spew racist, vulgar attacks at Harris and Democrats at New York City rally." This was the New York Times: "Trump at MSG: A Closing Carnival of Grievances and Racism." This was MSNBC: "With racist Madison Square Garden rally, Trump and his allies prove Democrats' point." This was The Daily Beast: "Donald Trump’s Racist NYC Rally Was Vile. It Was Also Political Suicide."
... This is what that hat Bosa so proudly displayed stands for.
One speaker made a vile joke about Puerto Ricans having too many children. That same comedian called Puerto Rico "a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now." He also spoke about a Black friend that he "carved watermelons" with.
This is what that hat Bosa so proudly displayed stands for.
Historians and others drew parallels to the 1939 Nazi gathering at the Garden. Initially, this seemed insane. The only thing you compare to Nazis are Nazis. But you know, after seeing clips of the event, and reading coverage about it, the comparisons aren't crazy.
In the rally, Trump again referred to his opponents as the "enemy from within." Trump has called people vermin and said immigrants are poisoning the blood of our country. Journalist Anne Applebaum, who writes about autocracies, wrote this in a story in The Atlantic called "Trump Is Speaking Like Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini."
"If you connect your opponents with disease, illness, and poisoned blood, if you dehumanize them as insects or animals, if you speak of squashing them or cleansing them as if they were pests or bacteria, then you can much more easily arrest them, deprive them of rights, exclude them, or even kill them. If they are parasites, they aren’t human. If they are vermin, they don’t get to enjoy freedom of speech, or freedoms of any kind. And if you squash them, you won’t be held accountable."
This is what that hat Bosa so proudly displayed stands for.
After the game, Bosa declined to talk about why he wore the hat. Which, for a guy who is so tough on the field, was a massively cowardly move.
He doesn't want to talk about it in more detail in front of the media because he would be asked detailed questions about why he likes Trump, and while he would be praised by the right, he'd be vilified in other circles. So he's decided to take the gutless route which is show he's a Trump supporter, while avoiding all of smoke that accompanies it....
Also, what do some of his Black and brown teammates think of the man he supports, who describes immigrants and people of color as vermin? Or who pushed a racist lie that Haitians were eating dogs and cats in a small Ohio town? Putting innocent people's lives at risk? ...
Social media posts
Leading up to the 2019 NFL draft, in which Bosa was the second overall player selected, Bosa gained media attention for his posts, shares, retweets, and likes on Twitter and Instagram that contained racist and homophobic language.... He had also liked posts by others that contained unambiguously racist and homophobic language and hashtags, including tweets where his friends and others use the "n-word"; a homophobic tweet about Michael Sam, who was the first publicly gay player to be drafted into the NFL; a tweet praising Trump's call for violence against protesters; multiple tweets that purport that illegal immigrants and refugees cause crime; and multiple Instagram posts with hashtags that included the "n-word", pro-rape language, and a homophobic slur. His controversial posts also included him calling former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick a "clown" for his protests against police brutality and racial inequality in the US, which he noted he "had to" delete because "[t]here is a chance I might end up in San Francisco."...
35-34, OPPS. Comment about Bosa:NFL Fans Calling For Nick Bosa To Be Punished After Postgame Interview
... "Bosa is about to get a hefty fine," one fan wrote.
"Did Nick Bosa just photo bomb ESPN with a MAGA hat? I'm sure the fine is already in the mail," one fan added.
"San Francisco’s Nick Bosa: great football player, misguided simpleton," one fan added.
This wasn't the only MAGA flashing move of the football weekend. On Saturday, Texas Tech's kicker, Reese Burkhardt, flashed his homemade MAGA shirt after scoring a touchdown on a fake field goal against TCU.
Burkhardt missed the only field goal of his game on Saturday, as Texas Tech lost to TCU....
I expect nothing less from an Ohio State graduate. GO BLUE!

Re: NFL Football
Don't know about his arm strength, but the rest of his game is diminished. I did start noticing a decline a couple of years ago, mistakes, missed passes and him short arming the ball.
But he had enough in the tank to still beat really bad Bears teams.

Re: NFL Football
18-26, crap. 5-3 Ravens fall a game behind in the AFC North. I'm 6-7 on the week
6-2 Bills lead a really sucky AFC East.
6-2 Texans lead an AFC South that I don't care about. I hope whoever has an early exit in the Playoffs.
Fuckin' KC remains unbeaten , but the 5-3 Broncos are making a play for Wild Card if not the AFC West champs
I don't mind that 6-2 DC leads the NFC East, but y'all hate it. Just use "DC" like I do. I like 5-2 Philly, too.
The best NFL division, the NFC North, is led by the 6-1 Lions. The 4-3 Bears are the only "losers" with a winning record.
The 5-3 Falcons lead the NFC South
The NFC West is a showcase of mediocrity: 4-4, 4-4, 4-4, 3-4

When the Jets acquired Rodgers a couple of years ago, I know a lot of Jets fans like Rich Eisen were thrilled. But I kinda suspected that he wouldn’t be that good. He’s so old. The Jets might think about drafting his replacement next year. Maybe someone like Carson Beck or Quinn Ewers.

Their head coach is a temp, even if they did decide to give it another shot with this group what head coach would take the gig for a one and done.
Smart money says they're tearing it down, but the J-E-T-S aren't very smart, especially their owner.

Re: NFL Football
Just FYI, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich used to be an all-conference linebacker for the University of Hawaii. He was part of June Jones’ first UH team that went from 0-12 in 1998 to 9-4 in 1999. Ulbrich then had a solid NFL career with the 49ers.GoCubsGo wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 9:48 pmThe GM's contract expires this year, Kaaron's contract expires this year and is an old dog who's not learning any new tricks.Jasmine wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 8:27 pm

I kinda feel bad for him because this Jets debacle might ruin any chance he may have had to be a real head coach in the NFL.

ESPN says the spread has widened to Jets (-2.5).
Same spread or -2 listed for the many casinos at vegasinsider, so it's not an ESPN glitch.

The call on the field was out of bounds knee.
I don't see how that is undisputedly overturned.
