1-0 to start.

Vikings-Falcons is the better game, but I guess watching the Panthers lose is a mandate here. :o It was a good game

TV here:

1:00 PM

FOX
Go @Eagles 10-2 (-14 :o ) > Panthers 3-9
 I would take the Iggles minus the 14. Rout.
22-16. The Panthers hung in there.

CBS
Go Browns 3-9 > @Steelers 9-3 (-6.5). Go Ravens! 14-27

4:25 PM FOX
Go Bills 10-2 (-3.5) > @Rams 6-6. Go Seahawks!
42-44  That was wild!

GO:

1:00 PM

@Dolphins (-6) > Kaaron (?) and the MAGA Jets
Miami ties game with a 52 yard FG with 0:07 left, 26-26 phew, OT.
Miami TD on Drive1  Jets eliminated. Poooor Kaaaaaron :violin:

@Vikings 10-2 (-6) > Falcons 6-6, but I still want the Lions to win the NFC North.
42-21

Raiders 2-10 > @Buccaneers 6-6 (-6.5) GoJasmineGo!
13-38

4:05 PM
Seahawks 7-5 > @Cardinals 6-6 (-3) GoLady OGo!
30-18

4:25 PM
Bears 4-8 > 49ers 5-7 (-3.5) GOGoCubsGoGO
13-38, ouch

8:20 PM NBC/Peacock

I guess Chargers 8-4 > @KC :puke-left: 11-1 (-4)
Fuckin' KC, drive and walkoff bank-shot FG, 17-19

Find a way.

But I don't think fingernail finishes are going to get them to the Super Bowl. They had definite weak spots tonight. Mahomes got pounded, they couldn't stop the run, and still making dumb penalties.

I still wouldn't bet against him on a two minute drive to win a game.

Well, if the season ended today, the Raiders would have the No. 1 draft pick. Yay us.

How important is an elite QB?
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen makes NFL history in thrilling loss to Los Angeles Rams

... The 28-year-old did something no other NFL player has done – ever – becoming the first player with three passing touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns in a single game.

Allen threw for 342 yards – including TD strikes of 41, 51 and 21 yards – and rushed for 82 yards – including three 1-yard TD runs – as the Bills suffered their first loss in more than two months. The last one was on October 6 to the Houston Texans....
He accounted for all of Buffalo's 42 points.
:-|| :-|| :-|| :-|| :-|| :-||

Matthew Stafford was no slouch in the game, either:
23/30 320 YDS 10.7 AVG, 2 TD 0 INT 0 SACKS, 132.6 RTG
44 points.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but "dive" or not Favre was not escaping Michael Strahan. It was a righteous sack.

Meh.

Lackadaisical play action fake and ran right to him.

Farve is smiling and laughing on the ground.

Doesn't really prove anything in a game GB had already won.
Disputed. -0-? , we do know that Favre is unethical, and unaccountable when busted.

Favre, who had joked the previous week that he might let Strahan set the record early, rolled out on what had been called as a running play and went down at Strahan's feet. That gave Strahan 22½ sacks for the season, breaking Mark Gastineau's record of 22 set in 1984.

Favre's fall raised questions about whether he gift-wrapped the sack for his friend, and public reaction ranged from commendation to condemnation. Strahan said the resulting controversy took away a lot of the joy from breaking the record.

Not much different from a slide. Favre was going down and, in all likelihood down hard if Strahan was at full speed. Good self-defence, even if Favre didn't mind being the record sack.

Probably should have handed the ball off like he was supposed to, then he wouldn't have got hit at all.
The game was over. There was no need for me to do anything spectacular. It probably wasn’t Michael’s best sack or tackle for loss.

And it’s perhaps especially notable to see Favre openly admit “In a different game or situation, I would have made a bigger effort to avoid the sack or TFL” and “Maybe it crossed my mind to help Strahan,” as he defended that sack as legitimate immediately post-game and has continued to do so several times over the years.

2:46 left in the fourth, first down GB up by 9 on their own 42 yard line. Farve hadn't been sacked all day. Coaches wanted to run the clock out. The next two plays were runs.
