Actually, 4:00 PM EST 1/2.
23-10, SWEET! The 12-team Playoff has a victory! Cool. The old CFP would have ranked ND #5 and made them play in a lesser Bowl.

A loss won't count in my tally.
20-52. Yuck! And I thought the spread was extreme. :roll:

I'm 4-3 so far this week.
GO 7 Notre Dame > 6 Penn State

Texas vs Notre Dame? -0-? I'd have to think about who to root for.

Well, you have that Notre Dame people call themselves "Domers" which sounds a lot like "Dahmers"

And you have Texas maybe dumping its rally song "Eyes of Texas" because it's the same tune as "I've been working on the railroad" which, though not racist in itself may have been played sometime in the past by Al Jolsen and references a woman named "Dinah" which could possibly refer to a Black woman who was "in the kitchen" listening to somebody play a banjo and might have been, with another stretch of imagination doing some hanky panky.

:) Who are you rooting for in the 2 Semis?

First Responder Bowl

North Texas 28, Texas State 30
Good game. I did not have a favorite, but North Texas Freshman QB Drew Mestemaker had never started a college game and had no high school starts other than for the Freshman B team.
26/41 63.4 Pct 393 YDS! 9.6 Y/A! 2 TD! 2 INT :( Sack 3/20 QBRat 150.3!

:shock: :-|| Starter next season? Transfer grab by a major team?

:thumbup: Ditto.

GA and Clemson, too. None of the 2024-25 Semi teams have won since Ohio State in 2014. At the moment:
TX or ND > Ohio State > PSU

Track which conferences are winning the 2024-25 college football bowl season

AMERICAN (8 teams) 6-2 .750 :shock:
ACC (13) 2-10 .167 :puke-left:
BIG 12 (8) 4-5 .444
BIG TEN (12) 8-5 .615
CONFERENCE USA (5)* 1-3 .250
INDEPENDENTS (2) 3-0 1.000 (UConn + 2 ND wins) :thumbup:
MAC (7) 4-2 .667
MOUNTAIN WEST (5) 1-4 .200 :(
PAC-12 (1) 0-1 .000 :thumbdown:
SEC (13) 8-6 .571 I think it's a hoot that SEC rookie Texas is their sole remaining SEC team in the Playoffs. Do some SEC ADs have regrets?
SUN BELT (7)* 4-3 .571

*Louisiana Tech replaced Marshall in the Independence Bowl

Why would anyone make a fair catch at the 2 yard line?

Situational unawareness?

Nice goal line stand by ND, FG forced. Too bad about the drive and TD just allowed, 0-10. :(

So, this is the future, superstar QB transfers out of elite team for an NIL bidding war.

Georgia QB Carson Beck entering NCAA transfer portal: Report
Beck previously declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, but will play one more college season

I understand why players enter the draft early, but honor those who stick with college ball until graduation. Still, this doesn't feel like the right way to do it.

Where have you been since Joe shamed DonOLD by 7 million (!) votes in 2020? Oh, that's right, the Pussies got trounced by OH St in the semis 49-28 on 1/1/21, then didn't even make the Playoffs since. Ha-ha.

Only an insecure, desperate and pitiful "FAN" ignores his team ALL season, and for the 3 seasons before that, only to magically slither out from his cesspool after an extremely fortunate victory and having cowered from a season of failure:
Was the 2-seed in the ACC Championship solely because 2-loss Miami flubbed vs Syracuse by just 4 points the week before;
Lost to SC, how humiliating, got solidly beaten by Louisville and was utterly JV vs GA;
3 losses, the only such team to barely sneak into the Playoffs;
Tried oh so hard to lose to SMU with a miserable 3-17 4th quarter showing.
Dodged OT thanks to an SMU kick-coverage lapse with 0:16 left;
12th seed, last :lol: ;
Will surely get fish-slapped and stomped by #5 Texas, a team I've had the stones to visibly support all season. It will be a pleasure to watch, almost as much fun as watching your subsequent complete disappearance, wuss.
38-24 :---P
No 1 FAT CAN since, exactly as predicted. Pussy.

So 'Canes are going to the "Pop Tart Bowl" and 'Heels are going to the Wasabi Bowl (for real)

Good grief.
Don't mourn the loss of graduating Cam Ward.
Carson Beck's girlfriend's school emerges as favorite to land UGA transfer QB

Georgia Bulldogs starting quarterback Carson Beck reversed his NFL draft plans and is now expecting to play another season of college football. Beck intends the transfer portal and may not return to Georgia for another season. Instead, he is expected to transfer even though he could return to UGA.

The Miami Hurricanes have already emerged as the favorite to land Beck's services according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. "Miami looms as the favorite to land Carson Beck," said Thamel via social media.

Miami has a strong pitch to land Beck. The Hurricanes are coming off a 10-2 season and helped develop quarterback Cam Ward, who is a potential No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Miami also has plenty of name, image and likeness money to offer Beck. Don't forget, Carson Beck's girlfriend Hanna Cavinder plays for Miami's basketball team, so the Hurricanes are a destination that makes a lot of sense for Beck....

Beck finished the 2024 season with 3,485 passing yards, 28 passing touchdowns and 12 interceptions. His QBR (quarterback rating) of 80.9 is ranked No. 9 in the country. Beck is a plug and play starter.
Ward's 8 backups! will be bummed.
