Mass Shootings

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Thx, I did see it.
De nada. Jon Stewart always has flair, but I don't remember a rant so passionate. Maybe the ones supporting the 9/11 first responders.
His most passionate one that I saw was when he smashed a ceramic coffee cup on the desk and cut the shit out of his hand. I don't even remember now what he was upset about when he broke the mug.

Jon Stewart slices open his hand on The Daily Show: 'I'll be going to the hospital'
The TV host smashed a coffee mug in an impassioned speech about pharmaceutical industry subsidies.

Jon Stewart's appearance on Monday night's episode of The Daily Show left him bloodied after he smashed a coffee mug while ranting about the high price of prescription drugs.

See the moment he cuts his hand on a shattered mug at about 16:58 in the video below.

Jon Stewart Takes on DOGE's Misguided Budget Cuts | The Daily Show

... "Ooh, can it be? The companies we subsidize with billions of dollars are allowing us the privilege of negotiating the price of 10 of their drugs," Stewart said sarcastically. "And 10 is all of them, right? It would be embarrassing if it was a small drop in the bucket and that the American people didn't expect that we should negotiate for all their f---ing drugs! Because we've already paid for 'em with our subsidies!"

He slammed his coffee mug down and the audience seemed to pick up on the fact something had gone wrong, but they cheered. Stewart then looked down at his hand to inspect it, smiled, and jovially said, "I'll be going to the hospital soon."

Stewart continued with his report after the slam, holding his injured right hand below the desk, and acted as if nothing had happened. But when he pulled his hand up into view later — about 21:32 in the video — the audience gasped at the blood. Stewart made light of the injury on social media, calling the episode a "bloody good episode" and himself "an idiot." ...
Wish I had him for a patient. Because of who he is, but also because I liked folks that could make fun of their injury.

 Thanks, hominy. I'd forgotten what he had been ranting about. And it wasn't that long ago that i watched it. I remember what my phone number was when I was six years old but don't remember more recent stuff. I don't know what it all means. I forgot. I also know my former wife's and my daughter's social security numbers just from writing them on tax forms for many years. I should be part of some long term study.
Preferably one that pays.

Classmate of shooter: He liked guns and drawing swastikas.
RW ammosexual, as I expected.

Parents, probably:

 Thanks, Trump.

Aside: 300+ LEOs from multiple agencies responded to assist in the manhunt. I'm kinda stunned that so many can be gathered in Coeur d’Alene on short notice.

Yeah, Kootenai County has 71 "patrol" deputies and a total of 300ish who work at least part time. Spokane County has about 300 deputies, plus whatever the city police in Spokane and Spokane Valley has, plus whatever the city of Coeur d'Alene has. But it looks like it was all hands on deck.

I guess breaking it down like that it makes sense, even accounting for maintaining some regular patrol. There's also other counties and small towns, USFS cops, fish and game, FBI, Marshals, CBP, Fairchild AFB near Spokane, maybe other feds like ATF, DEA and ICE, etc.

Kinda demonstrates what a joke the RW wet dreams of armed rebellion have always been.
