I didn't know about the USAF and Goldwater connections, but I remember Reagan's use very well. I was working as a peace lobbyist in the MT Leg when the RWers held a rally in the rotunda featuring that motto on a 10' x 3' professionally printed banner. After the rally they left it behind and one of the aides or interns told me it was at the info desk. I walked up to it and said we left our banner behind . I altered it to read:
"PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH"
MEANS WAR

It joined many marches.
I hadn't thought about it in a long time. There's a slight chance that I still have it. If so, it will march again at the 7/17 "Good Trouble" protest, 40 years after I stole it.

Btw, in the 1980s the USAF or SAC motto was, "Peace is Our Profession", displayed at the gate of Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, MT.

The White House press secretary's claim about how the president spends his time is being met with disbelief.

... “I just want to say to your audience: There’s not a more hardworking president than Donald J. Trump,” she said during a Fox News interview. “I witness it with my own two eyes every day. That man is working around the clock. He hardly ever sleeps.”

Trump has spent nearly 40 of his first 175 days in office playing golf. The bill for his golf trips ― picked up by taxpayers ― was $26 million by March 29, according to a HuffPost analysis, some of which goes into his own pocket as he golfs at his own resorts.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Tuesday shared a social media post on a personal account suggesting that an earthquake recorded in Utah last week was a sign of God’s anger at the shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Leavitt, who describes herself as a devout Christian, shared a post on Instagram that read:

On the night Charlie was shot, a 4.1 earthquake struck Utah. In scripture, 40 represents trials; 41 signifies a shift. It hit at 5:57 local time, 7:57 Eastern.”
