Heart-stopping 7th, but only 1 run scored, 5-0 GCG quit cheering bc he already lost his voice.

I disagree. There's no doubt that it hit the bat, but did it graze the index finger first or did he get it completely out of the way? I think 'Not enough to overturn' was correct.
