Idk, with Jagoff, Friendly Fire Barbie and the others maybe Dementia Don is Pig-Pen. The only difference is that neither cartoons KINO nor DonOLD are lovable.

I just mentioned to Lady O yesterday that there have been a lot of fictional stereotyped exaggerated evil villains whose nefarious schemes weren't as evil as some of Trump's. Sometimes I think Trump's just trying to be evil for it's own sake; sometimes I think he couldn't be this awful if he tried, so he must be legit psychotic.

Oregon, Washington, California form health care alliance to protect vaccine access
The announcement comes after a week of turmoil at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention over vaccines.
Otoh, there's Fascist DerSantis and the worst Surgeon General in the country, Joseph Ladapo:
Florida working to end vaccine mandates

Not that I agree, but I could follow an argument that the COVID vaccine is new, some are greater risk than others and maybe it doesn't have to be mandatory. But vaccines that have been in use for decades and have effectively eliminated some serious diseases? Total madness. Sure, maybe most parents will opt for their kids' vaccines anyway but enough might not to bring back the diseases, and nobody should want to mess with polio even if they're willing to take their chances with measles, pox, etc.

Yes but all those questions on the Covid vaccine were created out of whole cloth - politically based instead of scientifically based. And if Trump had taken proper credit for the excellent job he did in shepherding the covid vaccine through, there wouldn't be this problem.supesalemgr2 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 04, 2025 1:51 pmI agree. Florida does not have a COVID vaccine mandate for kids, and I'm not sure that any state does. It is the vaccines that have been around for decades that Dementia Don, KINO, Fascist DerSantis and likely other RW states are now upending.
It's not just families taking chances with their own children's lives. They're taking chances with the lives of the immunocompromised, those allergic to the vaccines, and those for whom the vaccine didn't take by sabotaging herd immunity. If families wish to be that reckless they can, just don't expect a free ride in OUR public schools.

Surgeons general op-ed, no pay wall:Trump secretary hit with first-ever warning: ‘Cannot be ignored’
Former U.S. surgeons general are sounding the alarm on Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in a first-of-its-kind warning.
In an op-ed for The Washington Post, released Tuesday, the ex-health officials, appointed by Republican and Democratic presidents since George H.W. Bush, said they are “compelled to speak with one voice” against the actions of Kennedy, which they claim are “endangering the health of the nation.”
“Never before have we issued a joint public warning like this,” they wrote in the op-ed. “But the profound, immediate and unprecedented threat that Kennedy’s policies and positions pose to the nation’s health cannot be ignored.”
The health experts — including Jerome Adams, who was nominated by President Donald Trump during his first term — argue that the nation’s public health system has been undermined, with misinformation winning over science and expertise.
“Morale has plummeted in our health agencies, and talent is fleeing at a time when we face rising threats — from resurgent infectious diseases to worsening chronic illnesses," they wrote, adding: “Repairing this damage requires a leader who respects scientific integrity and transparency, listens to experts and can restore trust to the federal health apparatus. Instead, Kennedy has become a driving force behind this crisis.” ...
Six surgeons general: It’s our duty to warn the nation about RFK Jr.
1. While it can sure be inferred it never explicitly calls for KINO's ouster. MAGA can be slow on the uptake, some things need to be spelled out.
2. It never condemns Dementia Don for appointing KINO, or even mentions him. No accountability = No change in the future.
3. It never condemns the GQP for confirming KINO, or even mentions them. No accountability = No change in the future.

It's a blistering attack on KINO but I think it falls short in 3 regards:

Nurses Are Begging People To Stop Saying These 7 Incredibly Rude Phrases When They're Being Taken Care Of
Idk about "Begging" but they are rude. The article includes text after each one that I'm not copying. Here I include some brief commentary that's my own.
"You’re just a nurse." - Read that here when we had more cons. I can't remember if SoupySales joined in.
"You do this for the money." - In part, so?
"Why didn’t you become a doctor?" - Many reasons, but they are different professions with different skills and responsibilities.
"When will the real doctor come in?" -
That's a fair question.
"I don’t want a male nurse." - Steadily declined over the course of my 30 year career to the point of almost never.
"You only work three days a week? That must be nice." - It was, so?
"I could never do your job." - Damn straight, most people couldn't.

‘It’s only gotten worse’: As ACA premiums are set to climb, some Americans opt to go uninsured
As it was before the ACA, this will inevitably lead to more crowded ERs, higher hospital fees and even higher insurance premiums. Thanks, MAGA.
We're down to the wire:
Misogynist, as always.
As it was before the ACA, this will inevitably lead to more crowded ERs, higher hospital fees and even higher insurance premiums. Thanks, MAGA.
We're down to the wire:
Yikes!Congress is running out of time to meet a crucial health care deadline
... Democrats are demanding Republicans agree to extend Affordable Care Act health insurance subsidies, in exchange for their votes to reopen the government, by Nov. 1. That’s when Americans can start signing up for their 2026 health coverage; Democrats warn that millions of people will face higher premiums next year if the subsidies are allowed to expire....
If lawmakers unexpectedly agree to extend the subsidies in the coming days, there probably would be enough time for online marketplaces in many states to incorporate subsidies in their 2026 prices before Nov. 1. Without an extension, Americans on subsidized plans would see their premiums double on average, according to an analysis by KFF, a health care policy think tank.
Republicans have demanded changes to the subsidies that Democrats may find tough to swallow, complicating the road to extending them. Some Republicans, for instance, want to prevent health insurance plans eligible for the subsidies from covering abortion....
