I think it's probably just that Taylor doesn't want to be involved with the drama. Public scandal and lawsuits aren't really her thing.

That's reason for TayTay to back off, as O Really says, but not necessarily to end the friendship with Blake . Otoh, if she does have inside info on the dispute . . .
