I think the whole thing sucks. I also think it's unacceptable for the government to agree to pay an unknown amount of money to anybody. What the hell are they hiding? Did Flynn get twice what he asked for? He sued for fifty million. Did they give him a hundredmillion? More than that? Did the deal include Flynn making a big payment to trump as thanks? The whole goddamn thing makes me want to break something or seize a cat by its throat and vigorously shake it.Vrede too wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2026 9:36 pmOh boy, Pizzagate Flynn will now be available to be WH Chief of Staff again when your prediction that Wiles gets too disgusted to stay comes true. Mikey has a stronger stomach.neoplacebo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2026 6:08 pmThe justice department has agreed to pay Michael Flynn an unspecified amount of money for "wrongful prosecution" over his lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russians during trump's first campaign. I can hardly believe this shit. The asshole pled guilty originally to what he was charged with. But the justice department says Flynn was a victim of a weaponized justice system and that this action is meant to make sure that weaponization never happens again. I could not decide whether to put this here or in the fascism is here thread. But here it is.

Pam Blondage has been responsible for much of the past 14 months fascism, so either thread works.![]()

Hey Blondage, being an AG in our country is a privilege, not a right.
Borrowed from SNL WU: Former Attorney General Xxx Xxxxx (redacted).
Pam Bondi’s Replacement Slapped With Community Note Over Epstein Files
Todd Blanche implied the DOJ was done with the ordeal
... That gap quickly triggered a Community Note on the viral clip, highlighting that Blanche’s statement is misleading at best. It appears Trump’s DOJ plans to ignore the Epstein Files Transparency Act and Trump’s campaign promise to release the files.
Did you ever wonder what you'd have done during the rise of fascism? You're doing it right now.

No surprise here.
Guess we have to wait until January for contempt charges, the current house will do nothing.

I wondered if that would be the situation.... Bondi was subpoenaed last month to testify in her formal role as attorney general, rendering the demand invalid now that she no longer holds that title, a Justice Department official wrote in a letter to the House Oversight chairman, Republican Representative James Comer of Kentucky....

Was Blondage, personally, subpoenaed or was it the sitting AG? Will it take issuing a new subpoena for her as a private citizen?Vrede too wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2026 8:19 am
Is there a "hook" once she's been fired, or does it take a subpoena for that?GoCubsGo wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2026 6:48 pmAnyone want to lay odds that Comer rolls over and let's her off the hook?

If the only solution is waiting until January for contempt charges, I'll bet nothing happens. She'll have been out of office too long, there will have been other Epstein files developments, and the new Dem majorities will have more important things to do.

She was personally subpoenaed and could be held in contempt.Vrede too wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2026 4:36 pm
