If anything, this poll shows how Trump connects with the folks. He can identify a concern and addresses it create a fear and play on it..
There. Fixed that for you.
Thanks.
To be fair it's an old playbook. There's always some new drug that justifies shredding the Constitution and international treaties. Remember this when some drug replaces fentanyl in the public conversation.
So, to "fix" the problem the Sackler family created with Oxycontin, the drug was basically banned. I wonder if they now think they should have established better regulation of Oxycontin. If they had done so, fentanyl probably would not exist. And if they manage to stomp fentanyl you can bet your ass that some other chemical concoction will take its place.
To "fix" the problem of pot use in Vietnam the brass cracked down. The troops turned to the easier to hide heroin.
To "fix" the problem of heroin use in Vietnam the brass cracked down. The troops turned from snorting it to the more efficient injection.
Military "fixes" sent a bunch of IV addicts back to America where there weren't many beforehand. This market persists to today, though interdiction has also opened the door for fentanyl. It's a self-serving hamster wheel.
Did you ever wonder what you'd have done during the rise of fascism? You're doing it right now.

And it's about the only form of capitalism that is looked down upon in America. I really think it's amazing that the power brokers here are so reluctant to legalize drugs; cocaine for example. It would almost immediately eliminate drug cartels and the havoc they create. Plus those power brokers I'm sure are not unaware of the multiple billions per year that cocaine itself generates. Hell, I might even get some myself now and again if I could just go to some state sanctioned place to get it. I've had maybe a dozen experiences with it and never thought much of it. It's nice in a sensual sort of way, but it gave me a type of edge of the seat manner. I'd rather sit back with a fat joint and cold beer.

I had fun with it when roommates were dealing, but not so much fun that I ever sought it out when I was going to have to pay retail. I know that I could taste legal coke without ever becoming addicted, as is true for most users. The others deserve compassionate treatment, not a police state that distorts all of society.

I don't recall ever paying for it. Mostly it was complimentary from the daughter of a psychiatrist at her parents' lake house. But I suppose I'd have done a lot more of it had I not had my own preferred potions.
