Funny. Been around a lot longer than the New Testament, and followed by millions in the world (not including me). Point being, the statements it makes when one divines the code are as ambiguous and nebulous as your quotes. To apply the wisdom to the student's current situation requires contemplation and interpretation. I just thought you have a talent for it.

There are more people on the planet that believe in religions other than Christianity than there are Christians. I wonder what that means. But I only wonder about it infrequently and sometimes not at all.O Really wrote:Funny. I read a story about the gay bull of Ireland yesterday. Many wanted to sacrifice him, but cooler heads prevailed.Vrede wrote:Odd, I don't see where any of that says that Satan is making so many gay babies, all the scientific evidence that it's genetics and the scientists to discover it. I didn't know until you mentioned it; I looked it up and found the same link you've presented.
There's one God; only what is written in various interpretations is different; therefore I really have no reason to study it further;
I'm satisfied with what I have.

Tare in the Bible:Vrede wrote:"Odd, I don't see where any of that says that Satan is making so many gay babies...."
.......his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
".....all the scientific evidence that it's genetics and the scientists to discover it...."
So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
"Rather, it's so vague....."
He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
The enemy that sowed them is the devil;
It is the Lolium temulentum, a species of rye-grass, the seeds of which are a strong soporific poison.
It bears the closest resemblance to wheat till the ear appears, and only then the difference is discovered.

So you're interpreting the "tares" planted ostensibly by Satan to be gays? Is there no other interpretation where evil is planted by Satan in the world? How about serial killers, or Republicans?Mr.B wrote:Tare in the Bible:Vrede wrote:"Odd, I don't see where any of that says that Satan is making so many gay babies...."

So you're Jewish now?Mr.B wrote:Gen 3:15 ... "And I will put enmity between thee (Satan) and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."
Your previous policy on Old Testament quotes:
Mr.B wrote:You still hung up on Jewish Law? Don't forget that cotton and polyester thingy..... I thought surely you'd be smart enough to know that Christianity wasn't around back then.

Well here's what you did say: "Not only that...employers are now afraid to pay them lower than average wages...what with discrimination, anti-equality, etc. "Mr.B wrote:Vrede wrote: "In many states employment discrimination against gays is still legal, something you've supported."![]()
Once again, you pull "facts" out of your ass.
I don't think it's a big jump in logic to infer that without "discrimination, anti-equality, etc." that you might find it reasonable to pay "them" lower than average wages because they're ... well, because they're one of "them." It's a fair deduction that if the only reason not to discriminate is because it's illegal, then you would support discrimination if it weren't for the law.

OK, fair enough. so let's clarify for all - do you think it should be legal for employers to discriminate against employees because of their sexual orientation? It's a yes or a no - thingy not required.Mr.B wrote:You obviously missed the little laughing thingy.......O Really wrote: "Well here's what you did say: "Not only that...employers are now afraid to pay them lower than average wages...what with discrimination, anti-equality, etc. ".......it was a joke; or to quote Vrede, 'I was teasing'.

Sinful man in general; homosexuality is sin. Here's the scripture in the NIV since you're having comprehension issues:
"The weeds are the people of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil."
"all the scientific evidence that it's genetics and the scientists to discover it."
The servants who discovered the scourge...."Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?".
"Nothing about scientific evidence and scientists."
It doesn't take scientific evidence or scientists to determine when something is bad wrong, does it?
".....as to give Mr.B license to claim that anything he's prejudiced against is Satan's work."
I'm not prejudiced; I happen to know a pear tree from an apple tree.....and I believe the words of the Bible.
"Point proven."
Yep...you've proved your lack of comprehension. Thanks!![]()

In all fairness, no.O Really wrote: "OK, fair enough. so let's clarify for all - do you think it should be legal for employers to discriminate against employees because of their sexual orientation? It's a yes or a no - thingy not required."
My stance is that a Christian business should have the right to say "No" when an instance arises that goes against their religious beliefs....and you know what I'm referencing; so no need to rehash that argument.
