Inasmuch as we're all "friends" here, I have no problem telling racist or sexist jokes either; especially when it tears 'ol Vrede outta his frame and sends him into a foaming, sniveling mass of jello; but that's Vrede being Vrede.

In all probability, that photo could have been submitted to that website by a Black person who saw absolutely nothing wrong, because it's everyday Black language (Opps!...here comes Vrede!) that is commonly seen on TV and heard in a large majority of rap "music".

I think it's funny....JTA said "I merely see two humans here with a fish." Ditto
JTA wrote:"I can't figure out if you guys are seriously offended by that image or if you're just messing with Mr. B."
Nah, they're not offended by it. They've been yanking my chain for years. Only once in a while do I get irritated enough to blast back, (sometimes to my chagrin) but all in all they're like what Crocodile Dundee described the punk with the knife..."just some kids out havin' a little fun"; meaning they just think they're being bad. Me....? It's entertainment; a chance to let off a little steam.

Now if you want some good 'ole down home offendin', wait'll Homerfobe starts posting. I like his signature: "Telling it like it is"!
Man, that's everyday JTA language. I have a phd in profanity.

I stand corrected. Homey's signature reads "Saying It Like It Is: In Your Face Whether You Like It Or Not".

If God didn't want me to to cuss he wouldn't have created me with a mouth from which to cuss.

If God didn't want me to cuss he wouldn't have created bigass fish that get off of the hook right before you get them out of the water.

If God didn't want me to cuss he wouldn't have created trees to lose my best lures on when bud-light casting.

Indulging in a little something-something while on fishing excursions cures these common fishing ailments. Mostly because you end up not fishing.

O Really wrote:<sigh> Not that I personally care, but c'mon, it wouldn't be funny if the caption said simply "she stole my fish." The humour comes from the stereotypical black language from the little kid. Stereotyping the kid makes it racist; using "bitch" to refer to his (apparent) friend must surely be recognized as disrespectful to females. It's a racist, sexist joke. I don't have a problem with telling racist jokes or sexist jokes among friends and family if no one would be offended, but seriously, recognize it for what it is. Feel free to tell lawyer jokes, but don't try to say they're not stereotypical and possibly disrespectful. For example, Q: What's the difference between a vacuum cleaner and a lawyer on a motorcycle?
A: The vacuum cleaner has the dirt bag on the inside.
I can't figure out if you guys are seriously offended by that image or if you're just messing with Mr. B.

OK, granted I see what you and Vrede are talking about. If you look real hard you can construe this as being racist/sexist. I don't think 95% of people out there would be offended by this though. When black people are portrayed on TV as talking with stereotypical black accent is that racist too? Or when southern people are portrayed as being inbred dumb-as-shit Jim-bobs that drink bud light and beat their wives while speaking with exaggerated accents is that racist (or whatever). I don't know man all I'm saying is I think there's a certain point when the line is crossed, and this does not seem to be one of them.

If you look real hard you can construe probably almost anything as being racist/sexist or whatever.
I'm not offended. But if I had posted the pic and Vrede commented that it was racist and sexist, I would have said, "yeah, but it's funny." Mr.B said, "I merely saw two kids; race or gender didn't figure in" but forgot that he had already said "I posted that just for you knowing you'd be cleaning out your drawers over it." So Mr.B knew that the pic would be offensive to at least one person, and I'm pretty sure he knew why.

You don't have to look very hard to find things as racist/sexist or whatever. It's way more common than we'd like to think. It's easy to downplay racism by saying "it's just a joke - get over it" but that doesn't change it from being racist. But a lot has improved over time. It used to be common for people to get nicknames that emphasize or ridicule personal characteristics - Tubby, Fats, Slim, Curly, Buck, Stinky, Stump, etc. You don't hear those so much anymore.

Well put. He "forgot" nothing.

Mr.B knows that he's racist and sexist, all his friends and family know he's racist and sexist, we know he's racist and sexist, he knows the pic is racist and sexist and he knows that exploiting children to express racism and sexism is way wrong. However, he's a broken, fundamentally dishonest person, and his ego is too too delicate to admit what he is and what he does, especially if I'm the one noticing. Pitiful. In my opinion these character flaws are worse than racism and sexism, which are just ignorance and can at least in theory be corrected. However, I don't believe there's a cure for chronic lying and cowardice, and they make all other fixes impossible.

What's so funny about this pizzin' contest here is this...
It's perfectly alright for a Black to use the words 'nigga', 'bitch', etc. in their everyday conversation to each other, whether they're referring to other Blacks or white people....but...you let someone hear or see a white person say those words to or about Blacks and all hell breaks loose; not only from Black folks, but also from the fanatical, looney, oh-so self righteous left.

I'm absolutely certain Vrede got oh-so offended by that photo. ..... He's just :bs:'ing to get attention.
We don't live in a sterile world; suck it up, it was originally created as humor. I'm certain you've seen worse.

I like this one.....it's "stereotypical and possibly disrespectful."
Two women and one man were sitting in the waiting room of a doctor's office each with their kids who had appointments.

The women each had a daughter while the man, who was "gay" had his adopted son.

The doctor came into the waiting room and greeted them all, then looking at one of the little girls he said "My, my, what a pretty little girl! I'll bet your Mommy liked money so much, she named you Penny!" The little girl giggled and Mommy laughed.

Turning to the next little girl, the doctor said "I bet your Mommy liked sweets so much, she named you Candy!"
Before anyone could say anything else, the "gay" man jumped up and said "C'mon Richard, let's get out of here!"

I wonder what Reince Priebus' parents were fond of? I also always got a kick out of some of the genteel Southern families naming their sons "Major" or "Judge."

There's nothing Christian or anti-Semitic in that picture that I can see...Looks like someone's a decent artist though; who's in the picture?
(this is your cue to run away from the point, as usual)
From the point of what? I see nothing in that picture that makes a point.
