Scam Alert

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Scam Alert

Unread post by bannination »

I found at least two domains copying all content from this website.

Always make sure the url bar has www.blueridgedebate.com before logging in to help protect your account. They also can't copy the Trump tweets in the title, it can be a hint you're hitting the wrong site if those aren't populating.

I'm working with the domain registrars to get them taken offline.

Stay safe!

... Always make sure the url bar has www.blueridgedebate.com ...
 As I mentioned awhile ago I've had to login anew since 12/1. This post of yours gave me a flash of inspiration. My Firefox shortcut was http://blueridgedebate.com/forum . I just changed it to http://www.blueridgedebate.com/forum/ , with the 'www" - no more logging in. I see that my actual bookmark has always had the 'www'. Either it got dropped from the Firefox shortcut during a Firefox update (no telling when) and/or your tinkering made the inexact url stop working. Weird, huh?

Weird, I guess the question is why? Seems like a big effort to get a couple of passwords.

Hey, send em over to CPF, Solar would be thrilled to expand his readership to untold additional thousands!

I didn't know why either. Apparently people will do this to get their search engine ranking higher, then they'll swap the content out with malware or whatever after they start getting significant traffic.

Figured out that they weren't directly copying content, but were just pointing their DNS to the same IP that blueridgedebate.com is on. That means that I can pretend I'm actually both those websites and point them to an empty directory. Now their website just looks like it's abandoned. I've got a better idea though, I think I'll replace their content with some customized content of my own. :-)

Not really. I've been in intense study and research for the past several years into furthering the work of Nikola Tesla. He was ruthlessly ripped off by Tom Edison and I'm out for revenge on GE, which is Edison's legacy. Gotta get back to plotting strategy. 8-)
