I found at least two domains copying all content from this website.

Always make sure the url bar has www.blueridgedebate.com before logging in to help protect your account. They also can't copy the Trump tweets in the title, it can be a hint you're hitting the wrong site if those aren't populating.

I'm working with the domain registrars to get them taken offline.

As I mentioned awhile ago I've had to login anew since 12/1. This post of yours gave me a flash of inspiration. My Firefox shortcut was http://blueridgedebate.com/forum . I just changed it to http://www.blueridgedebate.com/forum/ , with the 'www" - no more logging in. I see that my actual bookmark has always had the 'www'. Either it got dropped from the Firefox shortcut during a Firefox update (no telling when) and/or your tinkering made the inexact url stop working. Weird, huh?

Hey Banni! Why is it that sometimes when I put blueridgedebate.com in the search bar, I get re-directed to something called "wallabag".
Anyone else have this strange occurrence? Maybe a website is attempting a hijack? Read the properties of this logo.

If I went to blueridgedebate.com I was also directed to a "wallabag" homepage with login fields. Now, I go to the Board index page, but am not logged in.

I've had to re-log in maybe 4 times in recent weeks. Not a problem and not why I'm posting today.

Limey joining made me think that perhaps Just the Facts & Not the Alternative Facts could use an explanatory sentence on the Index page, something like:
A subforum intended to attract people searching select topics online, and also to provide useful data for online debates.

I'm not at all wedded to that wording.

Also, I like the new idea of the news scroll in the banner, and I think the NYT is great. However, one has to join or clear cookies after just one article viewed. WaPo is even worse, it hates Ad Blocking. Maybe NPR, BBC, Democracy Now!, Vox, Common Dreams or HuffPost instead?

Find a better location for it, not sure it belongs in the header, or at least it needs better separation.
Randomize the news sources, we don't want 10 NY Times articles in a row.
Display a date and time of the article.
Caching results from their servers to prevent hitting their endpoints too much.

They do loop, it works by downloading ~10 stories at once, the problem is that on every page load, and every user it goes back to say NY Times to load those 10 stories again. Everything custom is cached to an extent, like Trump tweets. Twitter gives you so many times you can call their API per time period. They can ban you if you call it too many times. BRD works by only going to twitter say once every 10 minutes no matter how many times the page is loaded. The Trump golf stuff is ran by a really nice lady out of the money from her own pocket and was gracious enough to share her API with me, so I hit it as little as possible so I don't add to her server load. That's probably way more information than you cared about.

IMO nonpolitical content is fine as long as there isn't too much fashion, relationships and cooking. I like human interest, humor, weird news, etc.

I withdraw my request. I'm not paying attention to the source. Plus, it alternates between taking up one line or two, which makes the page bounce. If you like it, no biggie. I can just zoom out to reduce the flipping, but would rather not if no one else cares.

What were you bouncing?

If you're not seeing it, zoom in so that sometimes it takes up 2 lines or zoom out so that sometimes it just takes up 1 line.
