Re: The homophobic thread :>
Alright, I hated to do it, but Mr. B has been banned for 7 days.
Obviously, no matter how heated an argument gets, we can't have people communicating threats.

Re: The homophobic thread :>
Like I care...... If anyone thinks I'm going to bow down to Vrede or Bannination, you're badly mistaken. I'm not going to give Vrede the satisfaction of a defeat of me, but I do mean for him to keep his mouth shut where my wife is concerned. He has no call to pick on my wife because I make remarks about queers. I'm not, queer, not queer obsessed, no closet queen, but let anyone make a disparaging remark against a queer and Vrede uses every low-down remark to squash it.
I hope no one else gets revenge first on this jerk, because I'd probably get blamed for it.
It's strange you would ban me, when Vrede is nothing but a glory-seeking forums hog who bashes anyone who dares to differ in opinion....and I'm going to whine again...Banni, you used to have a fairly successful forum going here until Vrede and his hateful ways ran everyone off, including some who had like opinions. The drawn out posts that picks apart every word, line, or phrase and blasts them is a clear indication that Vrede is self-serving, highly-opinionated, jerk.; however, it's your money you're wasting on this scum-bag, so have at it....

Information
You have been banned from this board until Sun Dec 21, 2014 11:02 am.
Please contact the Board Administrator for more information.
Reason given for ban: Sorry Mr. B. Vrede may be pushy, but I can't allow communicating threats. 7 Day ban.
O Really wrote:"That's why I don't catch the grief that some do......"
I rest my case. If Vrede had bad-mouthed Banni's wife like he has mine, Banni wouldn't put up with it either.
I've got better things to do and better people to buddy with anyway.....I should've left this cesspool long ago.

Do me a favor Vrede, don't reply to anything that hasn't been publicly approved. We'll approve his posts at the end of the 7 days, before then it just defeats the purpose. There is some stuff there I would like to respond to as well.
Thanks
Thanks

I don't claim to understand all of how Mr.B thinks, but it seems the degree of angst he has over the mention of "Mrs.B" is a bit beyond the pale. Nobody knows if there even is such a person. Anybody who wants to insult "Mrs. O Really" go ahead. That's not her name, and you don't even know if she's real. Couldn't possibly be personal. Same category as a "yo mama is so ugly..." comment. Just banter.

I fantasize about what Mrs O Really looks like since he's admitted he likes women who are scary smart. I do too.

Yes, if it is really personal. But as far as I know, Vrede doesn't know "Mrs.B" or anything about her if there is a her. He was yanking Mr.B's chain over sexual practices, and which ones if any Mr.B practiced with Mrs.B. But it was generic. Sorta like wondering if neoplacebo's wife uses a placebodildo. If you want to say you bet Mrs. O Really is an expert at oral because that's what "scary smart" women are like - or in contrast, hypothesize that Mrs. O Really is a ball-breaker, it matters not in the least to me because "Mrs. O Really" is just a character in an anonymous forum.neoplacebo wrote:True, but that kind of personal stuff should be done with personal messages instead.....just sayin.'O Really wrote:I don't claim to understand all of how Mr.B thinks, but it seems the degree of angst he has over the mention of "Mrs.B" is a bit beyond the pale. Re: The homophobic thread :>
Well, Mr. B thought it was personal even though Vrede doesn't know her, or even if she exists. I sort of think she does judging by his hyper reaction to Vrede's jesting about her. Then again, Mr. B seems to be confused in more than one way about modern life, Christian values, and dog humping....guess he's sort of old fashioned or something. There is only an ex Mrs neoplacebo and I have no current knowledge with regard to her sexual proclivities. I will say that the first woman I met after Mrs neoplacebo and I went our separate ways was scary smart, had Dr in front of her name, and was an expert. I miss her.O Really wrote:Yes, if it is really personal. But as far as I know, Vrede doesn't know "Mrs.B" or anything about her if there is a her. Mr.B wrote:Sweet stories...? good grief....you're really obsessed in this perverted homosexual mess, ain't you? Only you could describe "gay and lesbian romance" as "sweet".Vrede wrote: "The thread is still going, and while it’s not the most civil discussion on social media, most of the top comments are sweet stories of gay and lesbian romance."
Compare your "sweet" description to my neighbor's dog humping his favorite pillow every night before beddy-bye ....you would call that a "sweet romance" too?

You aren't doing it wrong if no one knows what you are doing.

Vrede wrote:Maybe PM if it really was personal, but the two-fold point was always generic - Mr.B's choice to break his own rule about attacking others while never manning-up for doing so, and his obsessive attacks on people he's never met without recognizing that almost all of the same things apply to him and other straights. PM is kind of pointless for matters of forum behavior and political issues. Hypocrites and bigots don't reform easily, the best that can be done is to confront them openly.
Of course, Mr.B knows these things. This false outrage on the theoretical (to us) Mrs.B's behalf is a cover for not facing himself.

Probably not, shame. However I don't think it's right to threaten people either. I know Vrede disagrees with the suspension. Does anyone else think I've been too harsh in this instance?neoplacebo wrote:I sort of think Mr. B will not be back after his temporary suspension.....

Re: The homophobic thread :>
I don't think you can tolerate threats - but Mr.B is likely harmless. He just lets Vrede get into his head and loses perspective. If it were me, and Vrede (or somebody) was trashing or implying a trashing of Mrs. O Really (sounds better if pronounced like Tim Conway in the old Carol Burnett show - Mis-sus a-Wiggens) I wouldn't act like she was some wilting violet and rush to her defense. I'd just turn Mrs. O Really loose - and I'm pretty sure she could take his ass down a notch or two.
Why Mr.B was so defensive about a semi- (or totally) fictional character, I'll never know.
Too bad if he leaves for good, though. He's an interesting member, warts and all.

Re: The homophobic thread :>
I don't think it was out of order to give him that temporary out; he was getting to be rather off the reservation so to speak. The whole thing, as O Really says is only a third person reference to someone who's not part of the dialogue anyway. Sort of a theoretical insult to a theoretical entity; he just took it personal.bannination wrote:Probably not, shame. However I don't think it's right to threaten people either.
