280 lb. Catfish (I thought the remark about CNN was funny too!)

Man I want to go fishing so bad now. I caught one about that big up in the jerz last summer or summer before last. Got him in the boat and everything I'll see if I can find a pic. I love fishing for catfish because you just throw a hunk of nasty stuff in your hook, chunk it out in the water, and wait and drink bud light.

I caught a couple of cod fillets at Ingle's today; they jumped right into my buggy. Put fish powder on them and fried them up and ate them with lemon and fries. And I don't even have a license.

his was a much bigger fish though, and he wanted no part of it!

He takes me fishing when we go to see him in Tampa. We favor Fort Desoto County Park just south of St. Petersburg. They have two concrete piers there. Almost impossible not to catch something....

Nice man. I do a lot of fishing around here and back in NJ. Pretty much all I do when I go back home is go fishing.I think I might go out Sunday to Croft state park. Just picked up a new lure I'd like to try out and get a feel for. Probably won't catch anything, but it's relaxing to just chill out and cast away. Man last time I did that though I sat down on some moss and got real comfortable, which was apparently was also home to a bunch of chiggers. I had bites all over my body it was terrible.

I'll have to PM some fishing pics.

Stereotyping the kid makes it racist; using "bitch" to refer to his (apparent) friend must surely be recognized as disrespectful to females. It's a racist, sexist joke. I don't have a problem with telling racist jokes or sexist jokes among friends and family if no one would be offended, but seriously, recognize it for what it is. OK, granted I see what you and Vrede are talking about. If you look real hard you can construe this as being racist/sexist. I don't think 95% of people out there would be offended by this though. When black people are portrayed on TV as talking with stereotypical black accent is that racist too? Or when southern people are portrayed as being inbred dumb-as-shit Jim-bobs that drink bud light and beat their wives while speaking with exaggerated accents is that racist (or whatever). I don't know man all I'm saying is I think there's a certain point when the line is crossed, and this does not seem to be one of them.

Inasmuch as we're all "friends" here, I have no problem telling racist or sexist jokes either; especially when it tears 'ol Vrede outta his frame and sends him into a foaming, sniveling mass of jello; but that's Vrede being Vrede.

In all probability, that photo could have been submitted to that website by a Black person who saw absolutely nothing wrong, because it's everyday Black language (Opps!...here comes Vrede!) that is commonly seen on TV and heard in a large majority of rap "music".

Nah, they're not offended by it. They've been yanking my chain for years. Only once in a while do I get irritated enough to blast back, (sometimes to my chagrin) but all in all they're like what Crocodile Dundee described the punk with the knife..."just some kids out havin' a little fun"; meaning they just think they're being bad. Me....? It's entertainment; a chance to let off a little steam.
