Must be an incentive to throw strikes. Otherwise, you're giving up a double to the speedy players.

I can see how there's a lot of strategy regarding a sprint. I assume the catcher does not have to touch the ball again once the sprint is announced. All outfielders should immediately run to somewhere around 2nd base in order to touch the ball as quick as possible. I do figure there's ways to catch a sprinter. Hell, he could be tagged out between first and second if everybody goes bananas.

Got to see it in the bottom of the 5th. The Savannah player easily reached 2nd. He then made it home somehow - I can't find a box score on ESPN . They've got this article, but no box score or link to one:

In the top of the 7th I saw a fan put a Texas player out by catching a foul ball . The stadium looks full - "capacity crowd".

My neighbor told me that the Savannah Bananas will be playing and the game will be on ESPN at 7pm eastern time.
