Woman Faces Possible Hate Crimes After Using Racial Slurs, Spitting on Asians (in) Mountain View (CA)



The Mountain View Police Department (MVPD) arrested a 39-year-old woman connected to a string of anti-Asian hate crimes last month, where she made racially-charged comments and spat on one of the Asian victims. Karen Inman was arrested around 11 a.m. on March 5 for attempting to steal candy and ice cream from a Smart and Final in East El Camino Real, according to Mountain View Police. Investigators also discovered her connection to two anti-Asian incidents last month.

Authorities accuse Inman of trying to steal merchandise from a market in Castro Street on Feb. 13. She allegedly took food and clothing and refused to pay for them because of the victim's Asian ethnicity. She was detained minutes later, but while interviewing her, they were told of another call about an incident with the perpetrator matching Inman’s description. The woman was allegedly connected to a battery incident at a downtown restaurant that same day. Inman allegedly yelled at and made racial comments at two patrons, one of whom was Asian. She was also accused of spitting at the male victim....

Officials at the District Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and concluded Inman could face hate crime charges.... She is currently being held at the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of petty theft, robbery, and two counts of violation of civil rights by force or threat. “This case is both disheartening and disturbing. Mountain View is a vibrant community in many ways thanks to the diversity that exists here,” Chief Chris Hsiung said in a statement. “Hate crimes have not and will not be tolerated in Mountain View and as this case demonstrates, we take these crimes seriously and will investigate them to the fullest extent.”

But four months later, on the Fourth of July, the 35-year-old publicist who had found “comfort” in the QAnon conspiracy, was in a Scottsdale, Ariz., Target store when she noticed a mask display — and snapped. She filmed herself on Instagram Live, and her anti-mask tirade went viral. (She was subsequently treated for mental health issues, swore off QAnon and sought to rebuild her reputation.)

Lively recently spoke with Yahoo News about what led up to that incident and what her life has been like since.

The interview was part of an oral history of March 11, 2020, the day the virus became real for many Americans.

Yeah, there is that, but a lot of them will not repent. I don't want to disparage folks with legitimate mental illness, but goddamn, when you present yourself as a credible member of society and then get mixed up with this bullshit, any claim you make to "mental illness" is suspect to me. As far as I'm concerned, the mental illness was there before trump and the q fucks were a glimmer on the horizon for this woman. She's a nut. I think her husband knew she was a nut all along and he is happy at how it all turned out.

A woman was charged with a felony after yelling racial slurs and throwing a Whopper at a Burger King employee because her tomato was 'too thick'

A resident of a Florida retirement community angry over the thickness of a tomato was charged with a felony after she hurled racial slurs and a sandwich at a Black fast food-chain employee.

According to records from the Wildwood Florida Police Department seen by the Villages News, Judith Ann Black, 77, was dining at a Burger King in the nearby Trailwinds Village last Friday when she confronted an employee about her unsatisfactory sandwich.

According to the News, Black was angry over the thickness of the tomato slice on her Whopper, and the Burger King employee who was unnamed in the report, tried to calm Black down - but Black threw the Whopper at the employee's back.

Black then stormed out, but not before spouting several expletives including the N-word, calling the employee a "stupid Black b----," according to the police report seen by Villages News....

Wildwood police tracked Black down and booked her at the Sumter County Detention Center, but released her later on a $2,500 bond.

Judith Ann is literally a "stupid Black bitch".

According to police records seen by the News, Black admitted to being "angry" that the employee was not "fixing the issue," and confirmed that she had thrown the Whopper at the Burger King worker.

The police record referenced by the Villages News also indicated that Black's use of racial slurs altered "the charge of battery from a misdemeanor of the first degree to a felony of the third degree under Florida State Statute 775.085." This statute is known as the "hate crime statute," which increases the minimum and maximum penalties that a judge could impose.

Black is a resident of a conservative retirement community in Florida known as the "Villages" - a collection of twelve housing districts across 32 square miles, located one hour north of Orlando. The Villages advertises itself as "America's premier active adult retirement community," and is home to over 115,000 residents, who call themselves "Villagers." ...

The Villages is infamous for its racist pro-45SHOLE golf cart parade last year.
