"The ongoing investigation into widespread welfare fraud in Mississippi continues to get closer to Brett Favre. On Monday former governor Phil Bryant was subpoenaed as part of an ongoing civil suit, demanding him to turn over specific text messages with Favre about the pair’s involvement in the concussion drug “Prevacus.”'
"In recent weeks Odyssey has been working overtime to scrub any connection to VanLandingham or Favre. The company has erased all its tweets mentioning Favre, removed its “sports advisory group,” and VanLandingham has been erased from the company’s management page."
"Favre continues to maintain his innocence. In an exclusive interview with Fox News, he claims he has been “unjustly smeared in the media,”'

"The new interview with Fox News fails to mention Odyssey Health or Prevacus at all. However, it’s clear Fox was intimately aware of both the drug company, and Favre’s involvement — and chose not to question him about it. In 2021 another press release from Odyssey highlights a media blitz by Favre to promote the acquisition of Prevacus, noting an appearance on Fox Business with VanLandingham, as well as Kurt Warner and Mark Rypien discussing the drug on Fox News."
"If Favre and VanLandingham are innocent when it comes to Prevacus, then why did Odyssey scrub all mention of them, when just two months ago they proudly promoted their involvement? Why is Fox News happy to have Favre on to promote the drug in 2021, but pretend it doesn’t exist in a report about the state corruption probe now that Favre is granting them an exclusive?"

It's a proud WH tradition to humiliate The Douche:
UH HUH! WH Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to FOX News' Peter Doocy: That's a Ridiculous Question
Fox News White House correspondent. Peter Doocy, has suffered innumerable humiliations due to his persistently shallow and starkly partisan questions. He spent two years being spanked by former White House Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, and now the same thing is happening with current Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre.
There's a reason that Doocy repeatedly engages in preposterous propaganda. There's a reason that he never tires of making a fool of himself. There's a reason that he's always around when a new distraction needs to be invented. The reasons are always built around the same idiocies. And even President Biden has observed it and commented on it...
RELATED: Fox News Howls Hypocritically Over Biden Correctly Calling Peter Doocy a ‘Stupid Son of a B*tch’
On Wednesday Doocy sought to land what he surely thought was a punishing "gotcha" question. Instead, he sputtered out an inquiry that didn't even make sense. And Jean-Pierre dispatched it quickly in this exchange...
... Doocy's incompetence is precisely why Fox News gave him the job. He is fulfilling the Fox mission to always contrive crackpot controversies. So this may be a good time to present a reminder of...

So Murdoch has now turned on Trump, and apparently told his "news" media to drift away. Dunno exactly when or if that'll happen, but without the constant propaganda mill of Faux, et. al. Trump will be a ghost screaming in the night.

... Actual result: Shapiro won by 14 points. Ha ha, whoops!
... Very scientific stuff! Unfortunately, none of the Fox discussions covered the Senate race in Vermont, where, as Semafor’s Dave Weigel pointed out Thursday, Trafalgar’s projection of Democrat Peter Welch’s margin of victory ended up being off by a robust 34 points. As for Cahaly’s reaction to the red wave that wasn’t, well, he hasn’t been on TV or posted on Twitter since just before results started rolling in on Tuesday night.
Whoops!David Weigel
@daveweigel
Found the worst pre-election poll. Blew the Dem win margin by 34 points.
WAGs, as GoCubsGo says.

That said, I think Trafalgar/Tralfamadore Group is an easy scapegoat. The "Red Wave" screeching was also fueled by midterm history, Biden's approval numbers, an iffy economy, hatred for Biden, the Faux Noise/OAN/Wingnut Daily echo chamber, and the modern RW being deluded assholes and idiots.

Kari Lake was a Fox TV anchor for decades. Her old station isn’t telling viewers.

Disclosure of even the appearance of bias is a fundamental of responsible discourse, and is certainly something the station demands of the public and private entities it covers. Of course, that's asking too much of a Fox-owned television station. We all know how Murdoch is.
Anyhow, HAHA, your Trumpette wingnut LOST.

Well, to be "fair and balanced," the Kari Lake running for Governor isn't exactly the Kari Lake that was the news anchor. She saw a role she could fill as "better looking younger female Trump" and created a caricature of herself. A very few years ago (maybe 2020) she was explaining how ballots are counted, why it sometimes takes a while and discussing with some depth of knowledge how the Arizona elections work. New Kari is screeching "stolen election." Sadly (for her, not for Arizona), if she'd just run as herself, she'd probably have won.

Even if all true Fox 10 had a duty to disclose the relationship, with any accurate details it chose, whenever covering Lake and let its viewers decide what weight to give the potential bias.O Really wrote: ↑Tue Nov 15, 2022 7:13 pmWell, to be "fair and balanced," the Kari Lake running for Governor isn't exactly the Kari Lake that was the news anchor. Plus, it could be that responsible news anchor was the "role" she was filling. FTA:
... Of course, it’s not uncommon for political campaigns to be critical of media coverage. But the perception of bias is precisely why it would be prudent for the station to be overly transparent about its previous relationship with Lake when covering the campaign. The station should also inform its audience about the steps it has taken to make sure both candidates are being treated equally.
Especially when John Hook, the Fox 10 anchor who delivered the news alongside Lake for years, spends much of his time on Twitter questioning — and often attacking — climate science, renewable energy, gun safety laws, Covid vaccine data, and other issues that sound as though they were ripped straight from a Fox News primetime script....

Rupert Murdoch “made it clear” to Donald Trump in recent days his vast media empire will not support his expected run for re-election, according to a new report.
Sources close to Murdoch at News Corporation told David Parsley, chief news correspondent at British paper i, that Murdoch has spoken to the former president since the midterm elections. Murdoch reportedly told Trump that the disappointing performance of Republicans — particularly candidates of the Trumpian variety — put an end to his political career.

Surprise! Fox News’ Violent Crime Coverage Plummets After Midterms
MOVING ON
Since the election season has passed, the network has been far less interested in fearmongering about violent crime in “Democratic cities.”
... This synergistic approach is nothing new, of course. Back in 2014, Fox News and the GOP fearmongered that Democrats were putting the nation at risk over the Ebola virus, only to drop the issue after the midterms. The same thing occurred again in 2018 when the network went all-in on stoking fears about the Central American migrants planning “to storm our border,” and then lost interest following the November elections.

"When you're totally turned off, we've achieved equity," he added.
At the time, Carlson's outspoken opinion went viral. He became the subject of internet memes and mockery, which were aptly summed up by Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif.
"You… wanted to have a drink… with an M&M? #DeeperIssues," the congressman tweeted....

Published August 5, 2022After Cracker Barrel adds vegan sausage to its menu, some customers say the chain is too "woke"
“We don't eat in an old country store for woke burgers,” one social media user says
... Of course, as the laws of the internet seemingly dictate, those sincere expressions of outrage began to serve as a template for more ironic comments (at least I hope they were ironic) like "The fact that you sell stuff other than crackers in barrels is why I'll never go here again!!!!" and "YOU CAN TAKE MY PORK SAUSAGE WHEN YOU PRY IT FROM MY COLD, DEAD HANDS!!"
Another contribution to the conversation? "This is the future us leftists want. For the domain of all right winged red necks to turn on them and force veganism upon them," one woman wrote. "Next they'll be donating proceeds to BLM and trans youth. After that we're coming for Waffle House and Walmart. You've been warned. The revolution is nigh." ...
Spoiler:
No, a "woke mob" did not convince Snickers to get rid of the "veins" on its candy
It all traces back to Tucker Carlson's disappointment over no longer being attracted to the Green M&M
... You may be wondering, "Now, what does Snickers think of all this?" Well, instead of keeping mum or offering a subtle statement like, "Snickers: The same as they ever were," it decided to take advantage of this week's trending topic.
On Tuesday, the brand posted: "Good news, contrary to what's trending on Twitter... THE (dick) VEINS REMAIN!"

Re: Faux Noise
Op-ed that neoplacebo linked in the ron deSanctimonious thread has a funny M&Ms section:
viewtopic.php?t=4965&p=179770#p179770
viewtopic.php?t=4965&p=179770#p179770
I wondered if he's a comedian, but Nick Adams (commentator) is sincere . Back to the op-ed:'Woke' or joke? DeSantis is trying to keep straight, white men like me perpetually angry.
... Attention insecure males: Feminism alert on candy aisle
... I know what you’re thinking: What’s a “spokescandy,” and should I feel threatened by one? It turns out some of my fellow straight, white men have been working hard to persuade me that I have been victimized by the lack of our own M&M’s color.
Fighting 'feminist' M&Ms, men seeking candy equality find their voice
Political commentator Nick Adams released a viral video that calls for a boycott against the candy maker for its effort to celebrate women by creating “feminist M&M’s” and not creating, what he called, an “all-male package” of M&Ms.
(Side note: An “all-male package” of candy gives new meaning to the words “junk food.")
“Any male that buys a package of M&M’s from this day forward must hand in their man card because they are a soft, woke, beat up, male feminist who has serious, serious problems,” Adams said. “Until M&M rectifies this grave wrong, by giving us all-male M&M’s, this boycott will remain.
“We will not stand for this at all,” he said on the video, before stomping on a bag of M&M's.
I find this all very confusing. When were these “man cards” distributed? I just have a Costco card. And as for the all-male M&M’s, I assume we're not counting the ones with nuts?
... I expect that the Anti-Woke Caucus in Congress will be tackling this, and that DeSantis will be looking into removing feminized M&M’s from Florida’s freedom shelves.
In the meantime, where are real men supposed to turn for their alpha-male candy needs?
KitKat sounds way too girlie. Twix sounds trans, and Milk Duds, well, that’s a testosterone killer....
In the meantime, we straight, white men will continue to squeak by somehow, as we fight the field-leveling headwinds of inclusivity, equality and diversity.
We shall over-react.

"Fox News host demands 'fortified boundary' on Canadian border"
"'Just focusing back on the northern border," she said. "You know it's a misnomer when people say now the drugs are coming from Canada. We have 150 countries represented by the millions of illegal immigrants flooding over the southern border. Canada is no different."'
This dingbat could go far. She learnt her sentencing at the trump palin School of Great Words and Alternative Facts.
"'I wonder what the name will be of the soldier who dies trying to save someone at the northern border," she continued. "And I have to point out, every forward operating base and FOB that we've been to in Iraq and the like, every full-operational military base in foreign soil and here in this country, right?"'
Whaaaat?
"She added: "They have a boundary; they have a fortified boundary. So why is it that in our homeland, in our home soil, our borders, northern now and southern, are absolutely open? It's preposterous. And it's because not only weak policies but, unfortunately, a weak president."'
Who has a fortified boundary? East Germany had one. Ronnie wanted to take that one down so much that when it fell he took credit. The Chinese have one but it's just a tourist trap well inside their boundary. Rounding out the 150 countries with fortified boundaries stands Britain's wall built across the middle of Britain and nameed after some Roman dude. This wall is said to have stopped the barbarians from the north from flooding the south with drugs.
Wall good.
Facts bad.
